Couldn't find any recent similiar thread on this already made so thought I'd post this here.

After recently finding out as much as I have about the story events that happened during Crisis Core, there's one thing I'm not 100% clear on. And that's why it was Genesis and Angeal started to show obvious signs of being infected with Jenova cells a while before Sephiroth did. I get the idea that the G project must have taken place some time before the Jenova one did. But considering Sephiroth was supposed to be directly injected with Jenova cells while still a foetus - while the other two inherited them in a less direct way (and at the least it doesn't appear to me that there can be much age difference - if any - between Sephiroth and the other two) I still don't think this makes much sense. Not sure whether or not to put this down to something I missed, or down to an oversight on SE's part.

If anyone else has any views they'd like to share, would be interested in hearing them. Thanks for reading!

There wasn't much of an age difference but Hollander first gave the Jenova Cells to Gillian then mapped her genes onto genesis at foetal stage, but apparantly first running them through a human only makes them impure. And more then that, Genesis and Angeal were deemed failed experiments from the very beginning, and were just dumped in Banora until they decided to enter SOLDIER of their own volition. Sephiroth underwent Mako experiments to become the prototype SOLDIER from the day he was born, which might have ended up saving him from degradation.

Ah! That puts everything into proper perspective! I couldn't completely work it out before. Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated!
