Burger King is doing their Eclipse promotion right now and if you go onto the website you can enter the game piece codes and download some music off the site. Now whta's interesting is that while a majority of the music you can download is from the score some of it is either extended or not on the actual album So I've downloaded all the music and renamed the tracks so what you're getting is the original score plus some unreleased music as well as the bonus itunes track. I dunno, I like howard shore, but I HATE TWILIGHT. Will I still like this score? Does it have any good action cues?

How do you think I feel, i'd be as against twilight as you but then Desplat's score for the second film was fantastic and I had to buy it. I can't help it if movies like Twilight or Tooth Fairy end up with good music.

The series is an insult to civilization, but I really enjoyed the second score. Even the first was nice, so I had high hopes seeing Howard Shore attached to the third.

As far as I'm concerned it's a monumental disappointment. I have rarely heard such a flat, vacuous, uninspired score — and from the same man who brought us Lord of the Rings? Unbelievable. I understand that it's a paycheck but I would be embarrassed to have my name attached to this stuff. I wish I was exaggerating.

That being said, I'm sure fans will adore it as before. And more power to them. Just my two cents for anyone on the fence. Give it a shot if you like, can't hurt to listen and there are some decent tracks, but only if you lower your standards or up your blood alcohol level fairly significantly.

Yeah I agree, it put me to sleep! But I was never a fan of Howard Shore. I get more excited for my brother's jam band who plays out of tune, at least they have energy.

Think of all the very bad movies in the world that has had Great Scores, suck it up guys.
but I agree Romeo and Juliet meet Werewolf's and Vampires, too much for me too.

I suppose if they found a rare Jerry Goldsmith score called , Strawberry Shortcake meets the Vampires of Hell Ide buy that in a heart beat.

Again, fan of Shore and not the movie. I've seen over at the Film Score thread that the quality is just 128k, so I'm wondering if these were downloaded directly from the site, which offered them at 128, or if they were recorded, and recorded at 128.

Edit: I've checked the site and at the main page, it plays a 6 second loop that is 160k.

The scores are really the only thing worthwhile about this franchise. New Moon's score was superbly intricate and delicate, and Twilight's actually brought to mind this feral and dream-like quality. I've hopes for Shore's take. Thanks!

It's not like they spend all of their waking moments devoted to insulting Twilight fans.
