I was when I beat the English version. Then I purchased the International Version and watched the 15 minute FMV that takes place two years after the events in FFX and it changed my feelings completely. A sequel to FFX has been made official and will most likely be a quest to rescue Tidus from whoever is keeping him captive (as seen in the FMV). It's not over yet, so don't feel too bad ;)

I guess I can see your point, it being sad in all. Though it personally didn't affect me to the least.

Did you all sit through the entire ending and see the part at the end, it shows Tidus under water,he wakes up, looks around and then smiles as he swims to the surface.....

That will be explained in the sequel/side-story. There's a lot of speculation about what that symbolizes.

Sorry if this is all wrong but its a while since I saw the ending. The fayth said that he was being held back unto Spira and he may not fade away. At the end didn't he jump from the airship into the ocean? See where I'm going?

Depressed for days when Tidus died? Hmm...

I wish Auron hadn't...um...died(?) at the end, because he was the coolest character in the game. He was such a badass, I was sad to see him go.

I was all fine until Yuna tried to grab him, but fell through. That was the saddest game i've ever played...

Wow, old thread.

Anyways, I just beat the game. Word on Auron. I was not ready to see him go, although I had a feeling it was coming. I too thought he was the best character. Anyways, I'll live. Tidus? Mmm, yeah, I guess I was kinda sad to see him go too. So the people who have the Japanese version get a 15-minute extra ending? Suck! (For us US version players, that is.)

It was a depressing FMV to watch, seeing tidus dissapear...but at the end when he comes back, it made it more interesting.

I was more pissed about Auron and Jecht tho...They were my favorite's in FFX... DAMNIT NO!!!

No, it wasn't that depressing for me. Sure, a little sad I guess...definitely not what a normal RPG would have done...but it was a bit predictable in FF X's case. I mean, they were constantly hinting at it all the time. But does anyone know if the 15 min extra scene from FF X International is on the net somewhere?

If you remember the cut-sequence where the Fayth told him he was a dream... he said "But you and your father have become something more, perhaps you'll be the dreams that wake us?"

Well, at least it was very close to that. IMO: he never disappeared, those were clouds (duh), he went through the clouds. If you notice when hes in the water, there is a bottom to it, the ocean floor! He didn't disappear, he landed in the water, which is why hes happy, cause that means he's still here/there (well, you know).

Anyone else think that when Yuna tells Tidus she loves him.... Tidus should've said something, maybe like: I love you too (or something similar)?

I mean, comon, you're going to disappear, you'll never see her again (although we all know better now, don't we?).... you could at least tell her...

Heh, assuming he really does love her and not someone else. Ahh, if they had only been able to do more with the "affection values" aspect of the game...

BTW, if you're just adding something to your previous post, then you really should just edit your post, instead of posting another message.

Yeah I think the scene in the water sent the Tidus/Yuna affection lvl to the max. But anyways the scene was pretty depressing mainly because he wasnt ever gonna see Yuna again....or will he. Basically all that mushy love stuff made the ending seem kind of sad.
