Alright, I managed to finish the game.
I'm gonna tell my point of review (lol?) of the game, as I have mixed feelings.

In the beginning, I was stunned by the beautiful atmosphere, and I felt chilled at the nightmare scene (I'm not spoilering anything XP) and I felt like - THIS IS SICK! I was itching for more, wanted to play, eager to get to know more about it.

As the game continued, I felt really... like I was there. The expressions of people's faces were awesome, good controls, I felt great!

!!ATTENTION!!SMALL SPOILERS HERE!!...However, not so big ones to the story.

The first chasing scene made my heart race. I felt like I was the one that had to escape, especially with this new kind of booklike narration.
However, as I tried to progress thru, I began to feel annoyed.
Why?
I ran out of ammunition.
And why was that a problem?
Because the enemies KEPT COMING. And they have infinite throwing-axes and hell, they have great accuracy in the DARK.
Even though I tried this cinematic escape, I died on the FIRST LEVEL several times. I got annoyed more.
What also was annoying, that our poor little author CANNOT RUN. I mean, he does, but for... half a minute? That's not much.
Hmmm... What else annoyed me much?
Oh yeah.
You know, in all of the action games, you collect as much items, medicine, ammo etc. as you can, right? So I felt normal to do that.
Don't do that.
Why, you might ask?
Because AS SOON AS AN ENDING CUTSCENE IS OVER, you lose EVERYHING YOU HAVE COLLECTED. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DID, EVEN IF YOU JUST WALKED AWAY FROM A HOUSE, YOU LOSE EVERYTHING.
And you start with 10 ammo, and the WORST TORCH EVER.
When was the last time a game did this??? In 2000???

I really could go on, as I found a LOT of stuff that bothered me, but I don't want to be all talk. Am I just so negative, or you guys, who have also played, got any negative/positive opinion?

In my opinion, this started out as a great game. However, if they had thought more, and fixed the bugs and all... I would not be full of so much negative thoughts about it.
I must add though, the visuals are AWESOME. And the sounds/music too.

Is the game called Alan Wake?

I read it. I've heard about the loss of inventory complaint. A positive spin I've heard is that you should use the weapons you pick up constantly instead of hoarding. Can't say how I'll feel specifically, unless I ever get to play it.
