Hi all! I was wondering, but since the best bit of Warzone 2100's music { in my opinion ;) }was left out of the game and was only on the old PS demo 19 disk, does anyone remember it and know how to find a decent converting tool for the XA music files on the disk? Thanks! :)

Do you own that disk? there are various ways to get XA audio out.

Yep, still works like a charm... but every XA converting system I've tried doesn't seem to work.

Do you mean ripping the files from the disc in the first place or converting them from that format into a more desirable one?

Have you tried this?

Either way, i am also interested in any wz2100 content since i already did the actual ps1 game disc rip a while ago. Think you could upload the file if you can't convert it so i can take a look?

I tried that one sometime ago, and it wouldn't convert the music file. *Sigh* I'm starting to think my disc was meant to be converted from its form. :(

Yep, the latter one. I tried some quick converting tool a week ago for changing XA to Wave files, but the converter didn't recognize the music bit.

:(

Well, that could be if the XA file was extracted in wrong way as PS1 discs use mode 2 data for xa files usually and most common drives today mainly use mode 1... (how you extract the file?) or theres some custom header in play. Try PSMPlay? http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psxutil/psmplay.html

Best solution is to upload an iso image of the demo. I used to have that demo, but all of them are long gone.

Tried PSM... and still no luck. *Sigh* Maybe if I used an emulator and fraps to get the music, then that might work... right? Failing that, I could try the ISO thing, but I've got no idea on how to do that.

Well, if you are still working on this... it would be best get ISO (alcohol120% and various iso tools google'em) done so others can try direct conversion/manual study (like me) as recording is much lower quality resort.

If anyone should still be looking for a Warzone 2100 rip with additional tracks, I've got this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/202208/Warzone%202100%20%5BRip%5D.rar). It includes the PS1 demo track.
