I'm trying to force the files open with winrar but I'm getting an error message. Any ideas on how else to open these?

That rar file has been split with HJSplit for uploading purposes, as some hosting sites have size limits for files.

You need this (http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32) (HJSplit) tool to "join" the files. Very easy to use and doesn't require an installation, just unpack it.

Does HJSplit work on them? Well, I packed them with 7zip

I made a cover for the soundtrack.

:) Heh...

I didn't even noticed that. I'm so used to think that whatever ends with 001 and so on, usually needs hjsplit to join them. Other thing is that when I got a lot of different files to download and extract, I don't focus on the names that much so I completely missed that 7z part...

But yeah hjsplit worked for me...

Well, I used 7-Zip to extract all of the files, but the music tracks turned out to be .ogg files. Were they originally uploaded like this? Because Windows Media Player will not work with them.

OK. I managed to find a way to play these music tracks on Windows Media Player, but it seems as if the music tracks were sped up a bit and the pitch raised a bit. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? (If you're not sure, then try comparing "21. SC2 UEF Battle 3 Pat" to this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrRXY_6tz_Y )

The tracks have not been sped up, this is how they are in the game. They may be different in the PC version but I haven't taken a look.

Do you even have the game? Now I don't have this game myself, but I've been watching playthroughs of this game on YouTube, and I'm convinced that the music on these playthroughs sounds noticeably different from what is in the download. Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F30uXWqP2uU Feel free to look up any other gameplay videos to compare. (I do salute your attempt to record this game's soundtrack though.)

If there indeed is a problem with the recording, then I think that it can be fixed with some sort of program that'll change the pitch and speed of the music.

I did not record the tracks I converted the game files themselves.

Then whatever you used to convert the game files into .ogg music files seems to have inadvertedly sped them up, but again, I believe that that can be fixed somehow.

Edit: I recently found out that someone on YouTube posted a couple soundtrack clips of Supreme Commander 2. However, again, it's not perfect, but this time, it appears to be at half speed and pitch unlike the .oggs' slightly sped up speed and pitch. I can change the sample rate to 44khz too see if you like it but the conversion did not change the file sample rate. It may have been the custom header I added.

OK. Let me know when they're ready for download. :-)

Thanks! Being looking everywhere for this, working fine for me :)

ShadowWolfTJC, sounds like u might have codec issues try downloading the codecs pack from this site (they have one for windows 7 and another for vista ) http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html. With the right codec .ogg should play in windows media player.

Or download this ogg to mp3 converter http://download.cnet.com/Free-Mp3-Wma-Ogg-Converter/3000-2140_4-10793572.html

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but think you can have another go at it? because the guy before me was right. I play this game almost every week and I guarentee you you somehow sped these up quite a bit, I cant say by how much but I'd say at least 15% and after listening to this for a bit its painfully obvious and its quite frustrating.
