They don't work for me either. Anyone have a rip of the songs in this game (preferably in MP3 format). That would be very much appreciated.

Both files are available from their host and intact. Problem is at your end.

I downloaded them both and extracted the files, but they don't play correctly even in VLC. Their also in a format I've never seen before.

FLAC playback in VLC is broken, see their bugtracker for details. Use foobar2000 for playback or anything that (correctly!) uses libflac.

I'm using the program to manually convert them into WAV format. Thanks again for providing the files!

It's not a new format but standard compliant FLAC. The reference decoder can decode the files, and so should every other application that claims to support FLAC.

VLC versions from the 1.0.x branch are broken, but I _think_ that a fix has already gone into the 1.1.x development branch. Is going to take some time though till a stable version appears.

If you need another robust media player that doesn't use DirectShow codecs then check out SMPlayer. That's a graphical interface (written in Qt) for the MPlayer (originally a native unix project). File support is nearly as good as VLC and it should correctly play back all kinds of FLAC encodes.

When I try to open the file in Link 2 both winrar and 7 zip keeps saying it's broken
