Wow. This game looks really cool. I am probably not going to end up playing it, because I generally don't play games that aren't bioware RPGs anymore, but damn if it doesn't look tempting. There are some seriously awesome concepts at work here.

exactly what I expect from a Team Ninja developed Metroid

And if you're in the RPG spirit... may I direct you to Obsidian Entertainment's Alpha Protocol? Eh? Eh?

Looks pretty awesome. Still don't think I'm going to end up buying a Wii though; already own a DS, PSP, XBOX 360 and mid-range gaming PC.

The game looks cool, but that control scheme looks really wonky. I'll probably get it, though. I really liked the last Metroid on the Wii. This could be the reason I need to dust off that slovenly white box I have collecting dust somewhere.

What control scheme? I didn't think the video was showing what it was exactly.

It seemed like they were really emphasizing the control scheme in that video. Controller sideways for movement/exploration, aiming remote style, but I'm guessing that will change with using the nunchuk. Let me rephrase: I sure hope that changes when using the nunchuk otherwise that will be really annoying.

Read a preview and it doesn't sound like I will really care about it. The kind of RPG I like is getting scarcer and scarcer.

I don't see why this would be annoying. I think it sounds better than the nunchuck. Very intuitive if you ask me.

Well, assuming that taking time to move the remote around in your hands doesn't get you killed, then sure. I don't like to have to turn the controller around in my hands to control different aspects of a game. This is required in other wii games as well, and I've never liked it.

That being said, this still looks to be a solid game for the Wii.

The game doesn't use the nunchuk at all. When you point the wii-mote at the screen to go into the first person mode, you cannot move at all. Controls seem fine other than that though, and I'm looking forward to the game.

How long could it possibly take to switch to pointing the remote at the screen? I mean hey if you don't like it fair enough, just seems like an odd quibble to me.

I don't think it's going to ruin the game, it just seems a bit fiddly that's all. I also noticed that the game seems to be VERY well done, with great graphics for a Wii game. I'm also looking forward to the game now that I've seen that video--I hadn't heard anything about it before--so thank you!
