Tobal 2 - Quest Trax, a rip by Helgen X.

Introduction: After 2 years, Helgen X (myself) finally decided to rip the Tobal 2 quest songs.

The reason for not completing it at the time was because the data from the game disc was so tightly encrypted, that it was almost as if the data was corrupted. After numerous attempts at cracking the code of the game and trying to extract and properly convert the XA data on the disc, all was given up.

March 10th, 2010, Helgen realizes he should just finish it up.. And he did.

I now present: Tobal 2 - Quest Trax, by Helgen X.

Any questions, comments, refer to the place where posted. This is not going to be torrented, only on straight up download sites.

P.S. if you would like to know why the songs are so short, it's because most songs are actually 4 seconds long, since they are loops of a 4 bar song.

Also, I edited the songs so that the gap should interloop to the beginning of the song from the end of it... I hope it works for you, I use Winamp to play songs.

Maybe if you got in touch with Knurek from hcs64.com he would rerip the game and try to find more tracks. Since this is not my rip not much I can do about it. Or maybe music you`re mentioning is sequenced and that`s the reason he missed quest mode tracks the 1st time he was processing this title...

@Helgen I still have the Tobal 2 quest tracks you've ripped. I took the liberty of extending them one or two years ago.

Actually, I didn't rip the soundtrack from the XA files... I actually played through the game and recorded the songs in Audacity manually. I've searched for a few months for the quest mode tracks on the XA files, but I could never get the XA's for Tobal 2 to read in the first place, then when I finally did get it to read, they weren't in the XA's. So I suppose the only rip is the one I created.

I don't have the original rip from Helgen, unfortunately. I only have the one where I extended the quest tracks.
