Haha, I loved this game, I haven't played it in a long time. Ah nostalgia hits me, thanks for the tracks :) I wonder if the PC tracks are different from the PSX version? I kind of doubt it.

No they're not. They're pretty much the same as the PSX version.

Thanks for this but I was just wondering why this is at 48khz? The original audio is at 22khz so in fact you have made the filesize bigger and lost quality.

No actually when I played it back they sounded a lot better for some reason. I wasn't using any DSP software or anything. - IGNORE THAT

EDIT: After comparing the original to the FLAC, I've decided to take down this rip and redo it at its native Hz rate of 22,050Hz. I've introduced artifical discrepancies.

The total file size should be less than half of what this rip was. Sorry to all those who downloaded it, this isn't up to the standard.

Expect a new upload of this soundtrack in a couple of days.

EDIT #2: This redo is taking a lot less time than it did the first time, so I should have it up and a 320K rip this time by tomorrow at the latest.

EDIT #3: I've finished tagging, normalizing and archiving the project. Both FLAC and MP3 are finished waiting to be uploaded.

Note: The highest possible rate for 22050Hz is 256 VBR Stereo, so that's what the MP3's are encoded at. I can't make the bitrate higher without changing the Hz rate as well.

How come the links are not available for me? It says 'the file could not be found'...

Sorry everyone. The files were flagged on multiupload. But I still have the links that it shared to other file hosters so rejoyce :D

New links are in the first post.

EDIT: Turns out I don't have the links for the MP3 like I did for the FLAC. I'll reupload them again and post the links it mirrors to.

Thanks, but I'm having another problem now. The first song in the .rar files don't work for me. 07 - The fairy glade, 13 - the marshes of awakening.... they just give me error when I try to extract them. Any suggestions?

I already did twice. Also from other locations (deposit files, megaupload, badongo). But to no avail...

Added new FLAC links.

feralanima
04-05-2010, 04:29 PM
For those new ones, is that all there is? Are all of them in each of those two links? Because for the links up on top you have four parts, but for the newer ones on the bottom there's only two parts.

Infernus Animositas
04-05-2010, 04:47 PM
The ones up top with the 4 links are the FLAC split into 200MB parts this time instead of 100MB.

The bottom links are for the 256 VBR MP3 version which are both around 100MB.

That would be so nice!! Is the FLAC file converted from WAV? Just to ensure that the quality is better.

The music was converted into wav from the game's music files. I then edited the songs as needed and saved them into FLAC so there is no quality loss :)

I will as soon as I can.

THANK YOU!!!

---------- Post added at 04:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:58 PM ----------

I have to ask did you do any mixing to these tracks? any EQ etc? for example the Hall Of Doors sounds very different comparing to the mp3 version. The bass is better in the mp3. Weird.

Infernus Animositas
07-02-2011, 02:06 PM
No EQ mixing. I just combined the WAV segments :)

mr62
07-02-2011, 02:09 PM
Well it's not a problem. But for example in Hall Of Doors the song doesn't start very well. I mean the first bass drum hit or whatever it is, isn't complete. Did you cut these track on purpose like that or is it impossible to get to song start from the beginning?? DON'T get me wrong. I'm happy you uploaded the FLAC version but I would like to know why these tracks differ do much from the mp3.

Infernus Animositas
07-02-2011, 02:12 PM
I just converted the Hall of Doors track into MP3 and compared the FLAC against the MP3 using foobar2000 and the song sounds just fine. The first percussion hit is complete as well :\

mr62
07-02-2011, 02:18 PM
Hmm that's weird because I did the same thing. Converted it to mp3 and it didn't start from the "beginning". OH shit. It was my VLC media player. God I hate this player. Well now it looks like there is no problem. Sorry to bother you but I'm kind of perfectionist haha. Thank you for your replies!

Glad to help :)

I can't find pirates part 2? Pirates part 2 FLAC = Pirates part 3 mp3

Infernus Animositas

All tracks should be present and accounted for. The track list is the same when compared against my MP3 rip I posted previously so I can't explain it.

Exellent work, you can't believe how long I waited to listen to "The Hall of Doors" again.

Edit: Say, did "The Teensie Counci" always had these glibberish voices in it? I could've sworn it hadn't in the game.
