I got it but somehow I dont like it as much as Unreal Tournament. Ok the graphics are better but I cant put my finger on it why it doesnt apeal to me as much as UT.

I dont agree. This game is simply amazing. The graphics are wonderful. and the gameplay is great aswell. This is not a linear game. Meaning theres not only 1 way to do everything. There is a great variety of weapons and power ups. And a good selection of game modes and maps.

I can understand why this game doesnt appeal to you. UT had some great game modes. such as assault that have not been added to UT2003. However we cannot assume that this game is crap yet. this is only 25% of the actual package!

I hope for the best of this game

Well it is as though UT2K3 is slower then UT, and by that I mean the game speed. The weapons are alomst the same (I think the made the rocket launcher worse) but the only "new" weapon is the link gun. The only difference from UT with this weapon is that you can charge it. The maps are beautiful and really atmospheric, I will go buy the game when it is released but I will never stop playing UT (and I am sure there are alot of ppl who will do the same).

3 GIGS? The final game is going to be 3 gigs big? *faints*

Well... I'm a UT fan... but with a 56k and all, I'll wait until it comes out so I can buy it.

What? The game speed is much, much faster than the original UT. I don't think I've ever stood still while playing UT2k3. And the weapons have tons of new features! The translocator is different, there's an assault gun (WITH grenades), the rocket launcher is indeed different with the addition of a secondary fire that shoots 3 rockets at one point, there's going to be a new superweapon (besides the redeemer), the lightning gun is new (splash damage is fun), and in general, they changed a lot of things.

Also, bots do a lot of intelligent stuff that they never did before! For example, in the high levels in team games they all run around in a big pack, they'll use the combined shock rifle blast, they'll translocate like there's no tomorrow, and they're a lot smarter now.

Also, DOUBLE JUMPING. YOU CAN DOUBLE JUMP. YOU CAN WALL JUMP. YES OH GOD YES.

Also, the textures used in the demo are 1/2 as good as the textures used in the real release. Check the txt file. I've already reserved my copy.

When i first played UT i hated it, i was a half-life player (multiplayer half life deathmatch) and i just loved hldm. I played UT for about 30 mins then just had to play half life again. But after a while UT grew on me and i changed my opinion. I still think half-life multiplayer is better than UT but i like UT more than i used to. I havn't tried the new UT but i doubt it will work on my computer. 1ghz under 100 mb ram, 4/8 mb 3d card. I usually play games over my lan and my other computer is only 500 mhz so i think thats out of the question. Pity, because counterstrike, half-life and UT etc are fun over the lan

oh and btw, i still think that the UT air control suuuucks. You strafe far to much in mid air, even while pressing forward key. You should stick moving in a straight line with forward pressed, and only strafe mid air when using the strafe keys and turning only.

THAT DEMO ROCKS! It is the best FPS I have played. CTF in UT2002 demo was so friggin sweet. I think they've made it harder to play in some ways and easier in others. It's balanced now and so amazing! And the textures in the demo are only half as good as what they will be in the real game

im sure the demo is good, but nothing can compare to the full game. i have it. not to brag or nothing, the levels are absolutly amazin. the menu is a little bland, but who cares. i love it.
