I was really nervous about posting this because I know I'm gonna be questioned for some of the choices I made here. Let me say this now....when I was doing the Good Stuff series, I had no access to the internet at the time and very limited resources. And the music I selected were based on the games that I owned. That was the case for the majority of the projects I did as well.

I consider this a videogames version of "now that's what I call music" except without all the mainstream B.S. to go with it. I know certain other questions will be asked too, such as what the hell I was saying at the end of good stuff 1. Some of the segments in these projects will get revisions overtime for audio quality. All of the music in these were recorded BASED ON WHAT I LIKED! I never meant to do it so other people could listen to them. So I wanted to give you a heads up before reading all of this. And of course if you want to listen to any one of them.....

Well one of the purposes of my cassete tape Gametune music projects being listened to by other people....was that it had to be a suprise. A suprise of what videogame music was on the projects to see if they like it or not. Now that all my projects are in MP3 format and sound much better and much longer...I figure you wanted to know just what is on all these Gametune projects!?? I didn't make the music, but I did record the music selectivly with my own hardware from the actual games themselves (or some other source)!! I don't do this for money, just for the love of videogame music. Because of how selective I am with the music, what you may like in a game music segment may not be in these projects. They are selected based on MY TASTES. If you have any comments or criticisms about the projects below, feel free to ask me. And if you have any game music ideas for Gamingstuff X, please send them to me!! Read the FAQs below before giving your ideas.

This summary will explain all of the projects in the order they were done. Youll see how they went from a cassete tape back on christmas eve 1996 to MP3 format.

The story behind them....

Good Stuff 1: The project that started EVERYTHING. This project was orignally not meant to be. The first time it was made...it started out with...well...some audio footage from talk shows. Then it moved into the videogame music. I don't know why it was ever there, but this was tooken out and replaced with the spiderman/xmen and strider music in the reiussed edition in 2000. In the MP3 version....at the very end...there is "Good Stuff 1 Extra", which has yours truly just describing how Good Stuff was made, why I was so darn random, and how Good Stuff paved the way for future installments and series.

Good Stuff 2: Was orignally with music from sonics 1, 2, and 3 in the cassete tape version. When remade was replaced with Megaman 1 music for NES and GB. There was also other items in the tape but was phased out in the remake becuase they seemed pointless. Game Gear's version of Sonic 2 was in but it was only the 2nd ending when you get all the chaos emeralds. This music will be re-recorded at a future date due to sound issues.

Good Stuff 3: Orignally the SOR 1 music was very short. It also had maxuim carnage music and some Contra: Hard Corps music which extended to side B. Maxuim Carnage was extended and moved to Best of Good Stuff, while Contra: Hard Corps was moved and extened alot to Good Stuff Uncovered (the project prior to BOGS). GS3 had a "remake" of sorts before on a cassete tape but it was a disaster. So the orignal tape remains. In the MP3 version, Cool Spot's music was moved to Part 2 from Part 1 orignally in the cassete tape version. SOE 1 and Revenge of Shinobi was greatly extended. As was SOE 2 on Part 2. The rest of Part 2 was taken from the cassete tape version, as some music in Sonic and Knuckles was just discovered during the cassete versions time.

Good Stuff 4: First it was a 60 mintue cassete, then it was remade as a 90 minute tape. It was remade twice just to make the music sound better and louder. The MP3 version has extended music from the sonic games.

Good Stuff Uncovered: This 5th project was orignally a behind the scenes of the good stuff series. It had some moments and such but it proved to be worthless. This was explained at the beginning of GSU. So, it was remade as a 5th installment in videogame music for the series. The MP3 version has extended and a few additional tracks that didn't make it in the cassete tape version.

Best of Good Stuff: It was created in 1998...but it got stolen at school. It was remade and has remained unaltered to this day. The MP3 version has 2 extra tracks from Sonic 3D Blast, 1 from Spinball, one from Power Rangers the movie, and one from TMNT: The Hyperstone Hiest. At the end of Part 1 in the cassete tape version after I said "...cuz i'm good!"...there was breif music from Megaman X2. Megaman X2 was later put to great use for Gamingstuff 4.

Good Stuff Xtreme: The last of the good stuff series went out with a bang in the MP3 format as opposed to the orignal cassete tape. As expected, lots more music was added to this one. In an interesting move, the music of TMNT 4 and PR the movie was switched. It made sense becuase PR the movie had more interesting music and therefore was the last segment in GSX. Now as for myself ending it at the very end....remember, it was 1999. Just use that to give you an idea of what I was saying when I was younger.

Dreamstuff: This was the first project to break away from the old school videogame music...and into the more modern videogame music as we know it today. This series was orignally named "Ultra Stuff", but it was changed to Dreamstuff...thank goodness! The update to MP3 form was a HUGE breath of fresh air from the cassete tape version. And some new music was added to Part 2 in the form of street fighter alpha 3. This was the first of only 2 installments in this series. You'll find out why later in Dreamstuff's sequel, Dreamstuff 2.

Dreamstuff 2: The 2nd, and final installment in this series. Basicly it was an extension of what the first dreamstuff was. The cassete tape version was dubbed "the first 2 hour project ever!". But since being updated in it's MP3 form...that no longer matters. Music from Jet Set Radio was taken out completely....and replaced with alot more various dreamcast game music from demo games. Don't ask me why I took out Jet Set Radio...it's something I'd rather not answer.

Gamingstuff: This groundbreaking project series begins exactly that....groundbreaking. This is the current Gametunes series. This first installment brought in music from all kinds of areas...like the PC and Sega Saturn. It was also the first project to finally have something all my projects never had....music from a Super Mario game! Not just that, but this is the only project to have music from a First Person Shooter, and the first to have music from a RPG. The groundbreaking would contuine in later installments of Gamingstuff to come. The name "Gamingstuff" was inspired from the "GamingNoise" videogame audio shows on the internet. As for the music in this project...more were added in the MP3 version. Some of the music from Sonic Adventure 2 was taken from Dreamstuff 2. One track from PSO episode 1 is the longest ever of any of my projects.

Gamingstuff 2: The cassete tape version suffers from a lack of loudness. While you can hear it...you can't turn it up any louder. This was corrected in the MP3 version. In the SSBM segment, there was the pokemon opening theme in the cassete tape version, it has been replaced by pokemon battle music in the MP3 version. It also has an extra track in that segment, and a few in Megaman 4. In MMX4, the cassete tape version had snow base 1 and 2 in different parts of the side...in the MP3 version they go back to back. Extra tracks were added to the MP3 version, and Sigma battle 2's track was replaced with the track from fighting Double as the final track of GaS2. There was also some audio footage from the movie "robocop"....but was dropped becuase it had nothing to do with the music in the MP3 version.

Gamingstuff 3: Orignally the project was nothing but music from Megaman X5 and X6. In 2006, it was reiussed with Rocket Knight Adventures, starting things off. The X5 and X6 music took over the rest of the project. There was audio footage from the movie "fight club" in the cassete tape version, but was dropped in the MP3 version.

Gamingstuff 4: This was orignally planned to be the first CD project...but was changed into the final cassete tape project at the last minute. Extra tracks were added in the MP3 segments of TMNT, PSO ver 2, and Sonic Heroes even though that played at the very end of GaS4 the cassete but never finished. A Megaman V track (from the Game Boy) was cut out of the MP3 version and was put in the MP3 version of Good Stuff Xtreme. Sonic Heroes' music in the cassete tape came from the Xbox version. In the cassete tape version, Sailor Moon's music sounded somewhat different soundwise and sounds alot better in the MP3 version. At the end of that segment you hear a voice go "Sailor Moon!!".

Gamingstuff V: This is the first of many direct to MP3 projects to come. I decided to go with roman numerals for this one. Most of the music in this project had to be re-edited (especally soul cailbur 2's) just to sound good.

Gamingstuff 6: Perhaps the easiest project to produce. It only took 2 days to complete it too! The 15th project contuined what the first GaS has done.....do firsts. This is the first project to...

- Have music from a Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2 games respectivly.

- Have two musics from fighting games.....based on nintendo and sega characters!!

- Music from an arcade game.

In an interesting twist.....orignally the NES Batman music was suppose to repersent Gamingstuff 6. But in a last minute decison after discovering much better music from the Genesis version of Batman, it was decided that would be used. Gamingstuff 6 is the 2nd of many direct to CD/Mp3 projects to come in the future.

Gamingstuff 7: This is the 7th installment of the Gamingstuff series, and also the project that celebrates 10 years of videogame music projects. This project returns to numbers and even the prevoius project was changed from VI to 6, making V the only project with a roman numeral. Orignally there were supposed to be music from 1 of the 2 recent released Sonic videogames. In their place was music from three NES games...Journey to Silius, Bionic Commando, and Blaster Master. Spiderman VS Kingpin, Valis 3 and Phantasy Star Universe repersents part 2. This was the first project to no longer be on CDs, as it is now MP3 only. Projects from there on will have NO limits on the amount of music is in it, and it can be downloaded to iPods and any other mp3 player (as with all the projects eventually). This despite being told to change the "disc" at the very end of part 1. The project was very difficult, having to be done twice becuase of sound issues. And of course there were firsts here:

Music repersenting Turbo Graphix CD and Xbox 360.

Gamingstuff 8: This 8th's installment in the Gamingstuff series was supposed to be completed during the summer. But there were lots of issues concerning game musical content during the months. Obtaining the Smash Bros. Brawl game was very difficult for months too. Music from the Wii and DS were firsts for the GaS series. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was orignally intended as the final segment, but bumped behind Thunder Force IV and making that the final segment. The ending of Part 1 was done prior to this decision as I said them in the orignal order. This project was completed on christmas eve, just like my very first Gametune Project ironicly.

Gamingstuff 9: Project #18 is the first to have music repersented from the japan-only MSX2 system. Part two of this project orignally had music from Megaman and Bass via Super Famicom.but after dissapointment in how the music stood out too much (not to mention very unfitting for part 2), it was replaced with music from Castlevania 2 and Pokemon Crystal. The replacements turned out to be much better choices for part 2, as the 2nd half of these projects are usually known for being the best parts of the entire projects. The Megaman the Wily Wars segement was called Wily Tower because it is the hidden bonus game (thus the music from it) within the Sega Genesis-exclusive videogame.

Now that you read that mega-ton of text....there's only one thing I ask of any of you: Please offer me suggestions for my final project, Gamingstuff X!!

It's gonna be the final one I ever do, and I plan on having 5 segments of music for parts 1 and 2. So far, all I have is the famicom version of Castlevania 3 music.

Wow, it's been a few months since this was posted.

Well for anyone who still cares....I recently did some work on Gamingstuff X. Also the music going into this has been vastly updated. Here it is, and the list is not completely final even though part 2 of it is:

Part 1:

1) Batman (NES)

2) Superman (Genesis)

3) Chrono Trigger (SNES)

4)

5) Sonic 4 ???

Part 2:

1) PSO episode 4 (PC)

2) Command and Conquer (PC)

3) Castlevania 3 (Famicom)

4) Castlevania Rondo Of Blood (PC-Engine super cd rom)

5) Andriod Assault (Sega CD)

I have Sonic 4 in the #5 slot because I want to see how it sounds. I like the first stage that Sega has on the sonic 4 website, so it's sounding good...for now. If I like the rest of it, then of course it'll be in the #5 slot. The #4 slot is still empty, so...um...any suggestions? Also, what do you think so far? Anything you feel needs to be changed or switched around, or "why the hell does he have this n that in there"? ^_^;;
