And I need your help! I want you to tell me which type of weapons and kinds of armour to equip to each character, I will then, only using what I've been told try a 100% runthrough of the game. Hit me.

That's not necessarily how you have to go about it. But if you want here's something I propose.(You'll get severely bored I promise)

You will equip each and every character you use with the Altair pistol, any light armor, no helm, and any accessories. You will only be allowed to use White and Time Magic, as for Techniks only Steal and Libra, no Summons no Quickenings. Also you will do all available hunts before proceeding with the story. :)

It's not as challenging as others but at least it will definitely bore you.

That does sound challenging, doing all the available hunts would be difficult to, but yes it sounds boring. I was going for a slightly easier challenge of suggesting a type of weapon such as daggers for a certain character and staves for another etc. along with armour types. So it would be like

Vaan, measures and light armour
Balthier, daggers and mystic armour
etc.

and I would try and do a 100% runthrough sticking with this.

Try getting all of your characters Zodiac Spears.

I don't think you'll keep your sanity.

Balthier: Guns and Bows
Heavy armour
Negative-status-inflicting green magicks only, 4 battle lores, no magick lores, all HP augments except +500

Fran: Maces and Staves
Mystic armour
Black magicks and Arcane magicks (except Bubble) only, no battle lores, all magick lores, no HP augments

Basch: Katanas, Axes and Hammers
Heavy Armour
Berserk and Bravery only, all battle lores, no magick lores, all HP augments

Ashe: Measures and Rods
Mystic armour
All white magicks, Positive-status-inflicting green magicks and Bubble only, no battle lores, all magick lores, +50 and +100 HP augments

Penelo: Daggers and Ninja swords
Light armour
No magicks, all technicks, no battle lores, no magic lores, no HP augments, all item lores, only one who can use items

I could go into more detail but that might take a while...

that's really not much of a challenge... i mean you're gonna use two weapons, that could possibly easily kill any monster...

It looks like you're not even trying. Try a 122333 challenge and see how you do.

Do the 122333 challenge on top of the restricted weapons/armor. Good luck with something like that.

I'm personally going to do one character, any equipment and license and anything at all available, no dustia levelling, and no negalmuur (well no negalmuur is obvious because its not even doable with 1 char)

It's not going to be hard really, but I just wanna do it for an interesting spin, approach the game a little different. I might report back on how it turns out but Im in the works of beating it properly still.
