I don't think I am too excited about this one tbh. XIII's battle system looks a little too far-fetched. And the fact that it's storyline and gameplay will be linear because of the HD graphics just makes me sad.

You won't even be given control of over 1 character in battle. It'll be like in XII's gambits just a lot more complicated(hopefully) so that the characters can react accordingly in battle. But you still have no control over them. That sucks ass. Let's hope I just misunderstood what the lead battle designer said.

Linearity doesn't bother me in the slightest. FFX was linear until near the end and when it became more free roam I didn't like it. FFXII became free roam and it lost it's story telling and the plot failed. I would definately choose a linear game with a great story over a free roam game with a mediocre one any day.

Also from what I've heard the battle system sounds complicated but nostalgic at the same time. To me it seems like a mix of FFX and FFXII, which is perfect. Also levelling is like FFX wherein you recieve Crytal points (CP) to spend on a grid much like the sphere grid to improve your characters stats and increase their prowess in the jobs.

I'm pretty sure you would be able to tell if you came or not.

You'd think wouldn't you. In fact I did come but here's the disgusting thing, I didn't realise until I bit my nail a second ago after scratching my balls.

In the beginning, I was excited about this game. But now, I'm not really as enthusiastic about it as I was before. I don't know why, but FFXII was the same way except I wasn't enthusiastic about it at all (and good thing too).

But I'll probably get it anyways, hoping it won't be FFXII with just an extra "I" in it.

It's been in development for so long the hype is dead in the water. I'll play it, but I ain't excited about it. delays do that

But for better or worse, this is going to sell a lot for some time.

I've been playing the jp version of FFXIII. It's WAY over rated. It's not even really an RPG, it's more like a platform with RPG style battle system. I lost my interest a long time ago.
