Here is the complete score for the game. The music played a huge part in adding a personality to the world of Mass Effect 2.
As a standalone listen it may or may not blow you away but if you are a fan of SciFi music which isn't limited to orchestral instruments alone and have experienced it in the game, it becomes a beast of a score.
Since I really love the game I decided to make a custom soundtrack for it because many things were missing on the offical release.
So I made a rip, removed all ambience and percussion elements and rearranged most of it.

Personally, I find this score to be exceptional, I don't know what it is that makes it so special for me, it may not be an orchestral joyride like Star Wars or very complex but that doesn't make it less enjoyable. Anyone who has listened to Blade Runner or Terminator 2 will understand what I'm trying to say.
I've listened to the Main Theme countless times now and it's still a great pieces of music.
Any Fan of Mass Effect should also pay close attention to the End Credits, since I had an urge to put a specific music piece in it, perhaps you will recognize what I'm talking about ;)

Booth version? I wasn't aware that booths played such a role in the music! That probably explains some of the weird music.

Folk say you have to have played the game to truly feel the preasence of this music, but I disagree - because I've not played the game yet. I am more of a fan of the "ochestral joyride" but I have listened to Blade Runner enough times to know that ME2's score is practically a homage to the work of Vangelis. An awesome piece of work, thank you for going out of your way to give itthe treatment it deserves.

Guys, if you have trouble with the file just use a search engine and search for the extension "7z". You will find everything you need to know.

If your software cannot open 7z files, throw it away or update.

Everyone, thanks for your appreciation of my work, but just to clear some misunderstandings:
This the complete score from the game. The alternate tracks are either extended versions of the album release or have slightly different changes.
The offical release has many "suites" of the character missions which include some ambient tracks, I simply streamlined them or added additional music from the game rip.
Since the End Credits were missing (Suicide Mission is the Main Theme, not the credits version), I ripped them from the game and added a little Bonus which you will recognize (also included in "The End Run") if you payed attention to the Trailers.

I have listened to Blade Runner enough times to know that ME2's score is practically a homage to the work of Vangelis.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that, if you pay close attention you can also hear a tribute to James Horner's Alien(s) and some other popular scifi scores of the 70s and 80s.
And the Collector Theme, most prominent in "Normandy in Battle" at 4:10 is practically a homage to the old Star Trek villain themes.
Come to think of it, the whole game is basically a massive homage to the very genre of scifi.

Isn't that the second part of "Rescue Tali"? If I remember the suicide mission music correctly, then that part also plays on Haestrom when you face the drones + Geth Prime x 2. I think?

Bravo! The official OST lacks some of the themes from the game! I sure hope you can find a FLAC version, though - I've listened to a high-bit rate MP3 version and the original Mass Effect audio CD, and the latter is still better.

about around the time when Shepard, Grunt, and Thane are just witnessing the Collector Ship descending on the colony. Is that song available anywhere?

I've got some bad news for you. Although the music you want is in the sound files of the game, it's so overloaded with SFX that it is not enjoyable.
But that topic aside, I've recently created a Music Mod for Mass Effect 2. Since the sound files cannot be altered at the moment, I've been playing it with my Media Player using Hotkeys.
If anyone is interested I can upload my custom music for the Suicide Mission (contains music form ME and ME2, Killzone, BS Galactica etc.)

What about the music when your passing through the seeker swarms, I can find the combat music but not the ambient music when your moving through. :/

Hmm I don't know ... Overlord's music is of course fantastic for it's genre but you can get it pretty much for free anyway (there are tons of download links on youtube at the moment)

That's Heart Of Courage from Two Step From Hell. You probably heard it in the Launch Trailer of Mass Effect 2, or in the very poorly trailer of Narnia 3.

Which track is the one with the cool Omega Music. The theme you hear while you're in the Asari strip club. Also what's the name of the track when Shepard encounters the--DAMN I forget the alien kids name & race! Anyway he wears a mask like that other crew member in the game. He's being inslaved or something by some other idiotic alien. What's the theme music it plays while you're buying upgrades from him?
