I'd have to say mine is the COMPLETE 101-ep english dub of the 1963 astro boy. First anime ever, and one of the best. My dad grew up with it so its the only animation he'll watch anymore :)

My most treasured anime would be Cowboy Bebop (English Dubbed). Its definitely my favourite anime of all time and was the reason why I got hooked on anime.

Three sets I have, I value more than the others in my collection.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA - So madcap and zany, it's a wonder Tylor survived through the whole season.

Vandread (Both seasons) - This series I enjoyed right from the get go. Good soundtrack and the story was decent. It's a space opera style anime, hence why I probably enjoy it a lot lol.

The Twelve Kingdoms - Starts out slow, but picks up in the second DVD. Sword and Sorcery (to a degree), also appeals to me.

My most treasured box sets have to be my Robotech complete boxset (all three seasons, including the unaired Sentinels series), my imported Zeta Gundam boxset (before they finally started translating/dubbing it), and Sailor Moon season 1 and 2 from ADV (before they lost the rights because SOMEONE wanted to try and get demand for PGSM up...*shudder*).

A very special mention goes to the Magic Knight Rayearth 2 boxset. It bought me my life (note to self: making fiancee watch anime with sad endings is NOT conducive to a long life).

Mine would have to be the complete set of Fullmetal Alchemist (metal boxes, OVA set, and movie) and my Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X collection. I have all three seasons of the show and the OVA collection.

I don't have many Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad and DBZ 1-9.

I'll say DBZ cause more money went on that one then Beck though Beck is an awesome anime, imo.

none, i dont like to spend 29.99 for one dvd with 3 episodes with a (though optional) horrible english dub and no extras.
let alone 100+ dlls for the entire (or first season) series.
the only one that could be considered a boxset that i bought was harlock saga, a representation of the ring der nibelungen story with harlock characters.
its one dvd with the 6 episodes and it cost me 9 dlls.

and yes, its original. bought it in suncoast years ago.

I'm glad I don't buy dvds in america, in my country it's less than $10 for one dvd, $3 for one manga! .....and it comes out faster than the U.S. !

i dont live in the US either, but its no cheaper here, if theres even something to buy (regarding anime).
i merely said it because when i do go to buy stuff like pokemon TCG packs, i usually do at places like suncoast or certain libraries.
then i go check the animes i didnt know about (so i can DL them) and laugh at -love hina vol.1, 2 episodes, english dub only, 29.99 dlls- then i facepalm, i laugh, then facepalm while i facedesk

My original Lain VHS set was my first so it holds a special place in my heart. But I have so many it's hard to pick a favorite so I'll go with my Slayers boxes and my FMA collection. I'm just happy that while anime is still pricey I'm not spending $35 per VHS tape like I did when Lain was originally released (with only the subbed version)

Either between Wolf's Rain and Baccano! Blu-Ray Disc Box. I think the Baccano! Blu-ray Disc Box is alot more rare though since it's a limited edition and was only sold for a limited time last year and is no longer being sold.
