I've been wondering about this "turning point" music in anime. I'm using this term because I know not what would be the proper term for this kind of music. As the name implies, they are melodies used to emphasize a decisive moment in a series. They, of course, are present not only in Japanese animation, but also in video games and live-action series. But I'm only interested in those present in anime because they present some features which interest me. For example, they normally are only used once through the entire series, at the end of them in some cases. They can be either sung or instrumental and there can be more than one in a single anime, but they always carry an emotional impact deeply attached to the images shown at the moment in which they are heard. Let me show you some examples of what I mean with "turning point" music in anime:

This type of music is featured in a great variety of anime, like School Days, not only in action-oriented series. They normally are insert songs, and are not necessarily included in the opening and ending singles of the series. Another uncommon characteristic is that, unless they are instrumental, there is high probability that they are removed from dubbed versions.

Does anyone know other examples? I particularly enjoy these melodies (and their animated sequences) and would like to collect more like the ones I've shown you.
