I still keep and maintain my VGM collection in MP3, but every now and then I create/update a much smaller AAC mirror.

The bitrate is around 48-56kbps, but before you complain with your 1997 mentality about bitrates, it is HE-AAC. Meaning a few bells and whistles ontop of the (already great) AAC spec, namely SBR and PS. Wiki it up if you care about it.

That said though, they are re-encodes from MP3, so the removal from both algorithms is present. Perfectly listenable though :)

This is a work in progress, I've not finished uploading everything yet but I've got a sizable amount up. I won't fill requests (I'm basically uploading everything I have anyway so a request is useless) and I won't upload faster on request either.

Yes HE-AAC is a blessing but I still prefer ~90kbps LC-AAC myself ;) MP3 is bloated and should be antiquated in favour of AAC and Vorbis.
