how long do you think, on average, it would take to get to level 99 (tifa to be exact) in disc 1? what level are you normally gonna be when you finish disc 1?

If you fight in the initial reactor with just Cloud (before you set off the bomb) you can reach lvl 99 in 27 hours. After that, when everyone else joins your party, they'll ALSO be 99. However, if you level up after you actually get Tifa in the party, it'll take you 36 hours.

Why there is such a difference in times, I don't know.

Yea dude, it's the very first place you can fight. You have to go to it.

Easy mode.

Around the 10th hour or so it'll seem worthless to keep going, but you just gotta tough it out.

It took me 39 hours. I was playing with everyone else dead in my party (except tifa). When they needed to be revived you must do it in the menu, dont let tifa use an item to revive them. the only reason for reviving them is to throw potions at tifa in battle. As we all know that you can only heal tifa with potions, in battle. Other than that it was just tifa attacking in the forest near fort condor for the better part of 30 hours.

It is a hard and long challenge, but well worth it if you do everything to the book.

The method with Cloud by himself in the initial reactor is easy to miss, but to me worth it just as well as the Tifa/Forest near Fort Condor way, just saves a little extra time.

-The other characters do not start at Cloud's level.

Yeah, I already realized your post wasn't serious (as I said in my first post), I just didn't get the point of it. Was the TC joking as well? If he was, then I guess my sarcasm detector must be broken, because it seemed like an honest question to me. If the TC wasn't joking, no one had answered his question seriously yet, so I don't see what was wrong with my post.
