Well, looks like there's a new Transformers game on the horizon, one set BEFORE the Heroic Autobots and Evil Decepticons left their homeworld. It's slated for a 2010 release, and initial screenshots are very nice.

Suffice to say, as a Transformers Generation One Fan, this does have me intrigued.

Niiiiiiice! I loved the Transformers series way back when I was a youngster and missed that same feeling I got once they started coming out with newer versions that changed things up far too much. I've never even seen a Transformers game (Where the hell have I been??) yet, so that's a first for me! That looks amazing! Now if only I could afford an Xbox360 :'( Dangit!

Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron are the only other Transformers series I ever saw besides Generation 1; apparently there's a LOT I missed out on :O

Wait, hasn't every Transformer game sucked?

Yes.

The Transformers Armada game, as well as the two movie tie in games... not to mention Beast Wars Transformers... all sucked. Iirc there was a Generation One Transformers game released only in Japan, though I may be wrong on that count.

This new game, after having some time to think about, I'm on the fence regarding. As a TF Gen 1 fan, I am interested in this as the majority of Autobots and Decepticons in it will be from Gen 1. However, on the otherhand, the Transformers games which have been released over the years have made me glad that no Gen 1 game was ever released in English speaking areas.

Guess we'll wait and see, eh?

All I know now is, I'm Transformers deprived :(
