Does anyone watch this show? I personally love it, my favorite show, ever. It's one of two shows I own all the seasons of (24 being the other).

Just wondering if anyone watches?

Considering I have Season 1-5 on DVD box set, which I watch in order every... well... now and then (lol!), I'd say I'm a fan ^^.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs (The other 'b' is for bastard. LOL love that line from Season 1), Anthony DiNozzo, Kate Todd (Season 1-2), Ziva David, Abby Sciuto, Timothy McGee and Donald 'Ducky' Mallard.

The cast for the show truly do come across as a good team, and I've been a fan of the show ever since I happen to watch the season 8 Episode of JAG (Ice Queen) which had members of NCIS appear. For a spinoff, NCIS has done well imo, though I admit, I don't like the new NCIS series. Doesn't have the same 'feel' to it, as the original.

Sides... there's no Gibbs in it.

I think NCIS is way better than JAG ever was. I watch NCIS all the time, but I didn't really like JAG at all.

I admit, I'm not a fan of JAG. Didn't like the characters and the stories did bore me. NCIS on the otherhand, has a variety of characters who bring 'something to the table' in each episode. The playful banter between Tony, Ziva and Tim is always good for a chuckle.

I remember from a season two episode, 'Witness', at the end, Tony and Kate are having a food fight in the squad room: Tony throwing peanuts and Kate throwing carrot sticks, while Tim's writing something down. Tony and Kate immediately stop when Tim calls out, as he's writing. Tony and Kate comment over how many times they had to write up their first case reports when Gibbs walks past and goes over to Tim, says 'Good work, send it up', referring to the case report. He then turns and walks past Tony and Kate commenting:

Gibbs "The next time there's a foodfight, I'm joining in with peas."
Kate "Frozen?"
Gibbs "In the can."

lol

^^Hahahaha yea, I love those Gibbs' one liners. To me he's gotten a little softer in the past couple seasons, but he's still the best. It's probably because the team is a lot stronger, so he isn't such a hardass now. (Even though he really still is). :)

XD I also watch the show in order 'every once in a while'. I can watch those episodes all the time.

New episode Tuesday!

New episode Tuesday!

yes!

Also, totally agree with you Xiahou. The hilarious interactions between the characters in this show are what make the show great. Also, the cases themselves are usually pretty interesting, but they usually take a back seat position to the characters for me.

I love the episode when Tony is wigging out and only hearing people say "blah blah blah", and when McGee comes to talk to him Tony hears "Blah blah blah computer stuff." This scene just hit me as REALLY hilarious when I saw the episode.

Oh that was, I believe, the first episode of this season, which was fantastic.

Did y'all know that this was a spin-off of JAG? I show I watched for the good part of ten years. As with JAG, NCIS is great, but highly romantized, as with most shows.

Yea JAG was dieing, slowly but surely. I think NCIS stepped out at the right time, and they're still going strong. The new NCIS:LA is alright I think, it's just not NCIS (as which it shouldn't be).

I do watch both since they're back to back though. ;)

romantized

I'm sorry, do you mean romanticized or romanized? Yeah, we know it's a spinoff. Someone actually talked about that a few posts ago...

I still think this is better than the original series, though.

Yes, romanticized. Bad spelling on my part. But yes. I'm sure it would be lifeless and boring if it wasn't.

Did you see the JAG episode that introduced the NCIS characters? I actually think that NCIS started shortly after that.

Yea, I remember Gibbs and DiNozzo being in a couple episodes of JAG, then NCIS Season 1 started. Spin offs usually start the next tv cycle after they are intorduced.

I like NCIS , just like many other "brainwashing" serie. For me it's just that, it helps to relax, and empty your mind of more serious stuff. But I admit that the stupid jokes in NCIS makes sometimes really a difference, I'm not just distracted, I'm also laughing sometimes.

Otherwise I also like "without a trace", "criminal minds", "cold case", CSI: New York, CSI: Las Vegas, CSI : Miami. I must say the CSI series are the most efficient at brainwashing. But I like the stupid thoughts at the end of each "criminal minds" episode i.e "Martin Luthin king said...", "Einstein said ..", "Buddha said....", and so on.

I've had friends try to get me to watch CSI or Cold Case etc etc... but I can't really get into them, not like I can with NCIS. The humor fits the show well, as does the drama. As I've said before, the cast of NCIS really do work well, which is probably another reason why NCIS does so well.
