He was great when he teamed up with Jerry Lewis for the many movies they did together. Same when he and Sammy Davis Jnr worked on The Cannonball Run I & II.

i like Dean.
Dean was one of the greats, but also a terrible alcoholic. Don't think he ever did a show sober. O:

Oh, so he was alcoholic.
Curious that the only movie i think i saw him acting was on Rio Bravo, where he plays a cowboy (or sheriff?), with alcohol dependence and he also sings in that movie too!
I don't like westerns but this is a terrific movie btw.
