I'm surprised to learn that this was done by Inon Zur ... I like this music a lot better than what he did for Crysis, which was great in the game but crap for standalone use. So much for the collector edition I got!

I don't know why it isn't. I mean it was in the credits after all and it was supposedly made exclusively for Dragon Age or something along those lines.

Ah, this is the album version, isn't it? I have this version, it's just part of the full song. The next half of the song, 100 suns, has cheering at the end, unlike the end credits version in the game.

I don't think the 30 sec to mars song was exclusively written for Dragon Age. To me it seems both parties took a great marketing opportunity (Bioware with the new game, 30 sec with their new album) and decided to collaborate/licence their music/name

I'm just frustrated that I'm waiting for my CE copy to ship from the States (EA decided not to sell it in my country, hurrah!) for over a month and it turns out it doesn't have the full OST in it - meh! :'(

By the way, the end titles track - "I Am the One" - won the award for Best Video Game Song of 2009. It's a great OST indeed, I hope Zur/Auburn will return for a sequel score.

I would have been frustrated from that as well bigblob. The problem is they rarely give many details about the quality or format of the soundtrack when they announce the LE edition as containing one.

First of all, thank you for this great release! I almost replaced the collector's edition one I had with this one, but decided to check the song names again to see if there are some that are missing. And indeed there are songs in the CE edition not present here. Here's the list:

The Circle Tower
Rise Of The Darkspawn
Tavern Brawl
The Grey Warden Legacy
The Real Of Orzamar
The Nature Of The Beast
I Am The One_DJKilla_Remix

All the other songs were present and one had a slightly different name (Urn Of Sacred Ashes instead of The Urn Of Sacred Ashes). The quality is also superior to the CE I had. I wonder if there will be a full release on a CD (or two) some day...

I'm also having problems unzipping it, since I have no prompt to put in a password (I found out that what I have can't open zip files with passwords). And I can't use those programs, since I'm on a mac, and the mac equivilant of Winrar won't let me open it either.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

It's a good score but nothing more, if only a real orchestra would be used it could have been so much better

Bah! Some of you are too picky. Real orchestras cost a lot of money, and a lot of money is exactly what most developers do not have. Even if they do, it's generally being spent elsewhere.
