Ah, the Garuda... Beat many an unsuspecting player, I reckon.

What you have to do is use the item 'Eskir Berries' on it - these will lower its stats a fiar bit and do a tiny amount of damage.

The 'Eskir Berries' are obtained by completing the 'Rogue Urutan' sidequest. Did you run into a big green tortoise-like thing on your way through the Nam-Yensa Sandsea? It's called 'Urutan Eater', and a group of Urutan-Yensa are fighting it.

If you entered the Nam-Yensa Sandsea through the northern route, you'll have probably met the 'Sandsea Moogle' - he is talking with an Urutan-Yensa who promptly runs off, and will tell you about the 'Urutan Eater'.

Once you have defeated the Urutan Eater, which you really can't miss if you proceed west from the Sandsea Moogle, return to the Moogle. He'll say that the Urutan he was talking with ran off, back into the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. Go there directly from the Sandsea Moogle's zone, and start to climb the rigs. You'll see the Urutan run back towards the Sandsea Moogle's zone before long.

Head back there and watch the cutscene. Once it's over, the Sandsea Moogle will point out a flower. Walk over to this flower and press X to pick it. 'Eskir Berries' obtained, and you'll find the Garuda a far easier fight.

I hope this helps you, and I hope it's accurate. It has been some time since I played that part of the game, but I'm fairly sure that's what you have to do.

There's a video of someone cosplaying as Vaan running around a busy street saying that. I can't remember if that's the one where a parent told him to stay away from their kid.

All those cosplayer shenanigan videos run together in my head.

I think the dumbness of it makes it even more hilarious. I think their tetris one and their magic the gathering ones are alright as well.

Haha I never get tired of it. I've seen it a million times in the last two years and it always makes me smile.

Also notice most of the comments are about the big bald dude with the kids. lmao
