Ooookay, characer attributes. I know what most of them do. Strength raises attack power and attack percentage and stuff. Vitality effects defense, Dexterity increases the character's speed, Magic increases the power magic attacks/defense and Luck increases, well, luck. But what in the world does Spirit do? I looked all around online and I can't find it, so I'm just gonna ask here. What's it for?

I think (and I am NOT sure) the Spirit Stat determines the resistant of Ailment Status. Poison and that stuff. o_O

Yeah I think spirit is for status ailments defense. And luck increases the chance of doing a critical strike (double damage), and the chance to dodge an attack.

Hmmm, status ailments. So theoretically then if my characters had a good Spirit score, they wouldn't really need Ribbons and I could put something else useful on them like Sprint Shoes or something.

I'm not sure about FFVII, but in FFVIII "Spirit" was resistance to magic, not status ailments. Of course, if status ailments are caused by magic then a high spirit stat can help you prevent getting them.

Some of them are to the point where it will always affect you. It doesn't mean that Ribbon would be useless, it never is.

Gah, that's sucky. So basically Spirit the least important attribute then.
