The Game releases on Monday, although the ROM of it has been leaked already, so will anybody be so kind to rip the music of this game?

Well, as the game has now been officially released in the U.S., here's a bump of love. Hopefully someone will find the time to rip some of the music. I've heard it's good, better than the Phantom Hourglass soundtrack, even.

Here's all the music ripped from the game.(not by me) You'll need the vio2sf plugin to play the 2sf files and vgmstream to play the strm files.

The Data isn't available. :( Could someone download it? If yes, is it a nuisance to ask if that one could convert these music-data into MP3?

I was going to do it myself but then I found it is more than 3 hours long. It would truly just be easier to get Winamp or foobar and the vio2sf plugin.

Go to http://www.zophar.net/utilities/2sf/vio2sf.html to download that, do a quick internet search for the in_cube plugin so you can play the streamed music, and put those in your plugin folder for the player of your choice. Although I think in_cube is Winamp exclusive though, judging from the "in_" prefix.

Your hard drive will also thank you for doing this. It's 26.2 MB to store all the game's music in these formats, rather than almost 3 and a half hours of MP3s. Hopefully once people play the game, someone will update the tags and everything will be named and in its correct order, and then it's just a quick download on your end for the new one, instead of a gigantic MP3 update.

I tried to play these files in Winamp and it just didn't work. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I don't really have time to play with it to figure out what that would be. To that end, could someone who can get these to work rip them in 320 kbps mp3 and upload them (easiest place to upload would be megaupload because you can probably do the whole thing in one file, despite its size). Thanks!

To be honest, the plugin used to work in Winamp for me, and now I can't get it to anymore for some reason. But I just use foobar for the sequenced files and Winamp for the streams.

There is a Song Missing I noticed when I was in the Dark Realm in the beginning the one where you have to chase down the Trains the Tears of Light Version is in there but the original without the Tears of Light isn't in there is there a way to find it or rip it I really like that song in that game.

Please & Thanks,

Is anyone making any progress on tagging the tracks? If not, perhaps we can work together on this? I've made a Writeboard with all the tracks and their lengths. If you can identify an unidentified track, edit the writeboard...and then together we'll make a list of tags that someone can then apply to the files?

I'm not complaining; I'm very grateful that someone took the time to rip the music...and it's more than any of us could ask/hope for. However, I'm just suggesting that we work together to complete the one annoying--yet still remaining--part of the puzzle.

Sincerely,

My apologies, then, for the misunderstanding. But back to the topic at hand...anyone else feel like helping? I'm kind of inclined to play through again so I can identify some of these great songs...hehe

I added some that I recognized. I'm pretty sure they're all correct. Sorry I don't know the name of the Flying Elephant Enemy, but I just finished that part recently and I distinctly remember that tune (number 17). These tracks are in a weird order... there also seems to be some definite repeats, just with slight variations (for example, Aboda Village Outside, and the version with no intro).

Thanks for your help; that's great. Do you mean I have them listed in a weird order? Or that they're in a weird order from the rip?

nintendude73

The rip is just in a weird order. I mean, it's definitely not completely chronological, though different things seemed to be grouped together. It seems like it would be much easier to tag these if they were chronological.

Right. Well, if in identifying tracks, we realize they should be in a different order...perhaps we can move them around and just leave notations of what the track number used to be to ease the final tagging of the track files themselves? Or am I thinking too much into this? hehe

www.zeldapower.com has a partial gamerip that is tagged. The quality isn't quite on par with ours, but it seems to have some tracks that we don't. For starters, we could use theirs as a means of tagging some of the tracks.

Two tracks they have that we don't (unless I missed them in the group) are the overworld with the train stopped and the slower overworld theme. I also think we're missing the intro, though again, I could be mistaken.

Sounds good...I've updated a few of the missing tags with their information on the writeboard. I've also started to mark the repeats. Side note: Track 19 sounds like the Tear of Light version of the Dark Realm mixed with something else...am I right? Anybody know if there's anything we can do about it if so?

I am complaining. If you're going to go through the trouble of ripping an OST, at least come up with some track names.

I sure as heck appreciate the rip, but it's no good if I don't put it in my music library. And yes I am a neat freak when it comes to music. I can't help it. DON'T HATE ME BECAUSE I'M BEAUTIFUL

Hey Guys, look what I found! Maybe somebody can download all the songs from here and then get the ones missing from this one from our soundtrack rip of the game because they only have 88 files in this soundtrack but maybe thats because they didn't add the unused music or the song repeats but this is great and the quality seems perfectly fine so here you go: http://hyrule.net/games/st/soundtrack.php

edit: They did tag a few things wrong so we can use our list as reference to fix the tags on this one.

I think we should start looking through the “sound effects” folder as well, because many of those could constitute as soundtrack-worthy songs (such as the full versions of the flute songs, the game over theme, the boss defeated theme, etc.)

My words exactly. In fact, I think that IS my words exactly, copypasted from the writeboard comment I made :P

I've already gone through some of them, but I kinda messed up the original listing for it, so I can't really help. I was only able to identify the songs I mentioned in that comment + various jingles such as the item/heart container/force gem ones.
