If you get iFile (assuming you're jailbroken, which you probably are if you're downloading .zip files), it has a .rar extractor built into it. It's shareware, but it will never force you to buy it.

I was wondering if this noise was inherently coded into the song (which would suck), or if these were recordings and not rips. Is it possible to hear the track without these sound effects? Same problem with the Zapdos cry boss battle I assume.

I tried many times, but unfortunately, every song on the soundtrack is sequenced. All I could dig up from the bsrar were sound effects, and the individual instruments (within a heap of rwav's). There are no gecko codes to remove sfx, and prime blue's method only works with streamed music. So... out of luck for now.
