Chris is busy with Inception right now but here's a recent update from IGN.

Batman On Film reports that director Christopher Nolan and studio Warner Bros. will officially announce their plans for Batman 3 in January.

Their scooper told the site: "The longer we don't hear a Nolan/B3 announcement in 2010, the less likely it is that the director will return."

Here's some news, it'll likely be as crap as the other two. Or factor in the diminishing quality of sequels in direct contrast to the number of bums on seats ratio equation of the hollywood meat machine and it'll still be crap but make tons of cash for the corporate whores to bathe their filthy skins in.

Cynical, me? Never.

Don't know what the hell Batman you've been watching. Must've been Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. The latter which nearly killed the franchise all together still gives me nightmares.

Nope. Same one as you. Bale sucked.

Which movie were you watching?

I watched them both. Heath was fantastic. (Especially his magic trick with the pencil.) Everything else wasn't. I know the whole world liked them but I didn't. Bale's gruff voice made me titter with laughter.

Agree about Bale's Batman voice, it's pathetic. Otherwise they're both good movies

I may be the only person in the world who likes his Batman voice. It makes sense for him to use it because it intimidates thugs and helps mask his voice from guys like Harvey Dent and Gordon who he might run into as Bruce Wayne.

first of all, the title of the new batman film, as confirmed by Christopher Nolan, is titled "The Dark Knight Rises" Second, Tom Hardy has joined the cast of the film, his role is unspecified. Though there is speculation that he will portray BANE. the man who broke the Bat.

Hope this was helpful to u :)

meh. Isn't this supposed to be the final film, why not put Batman in the movie title then? Batman Rising or something around that.

Let's get out of the way clear. It feels like it all starts with the fact that Nolan and his writers Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer we are going to choose the most popular members of the gallery next to this next Batman film. So when the Joker and Two-Face, which, of course, is the last film, is best known for? The Riddler is certainly there, and it also seems to fit better than, for example, as is well known penguin.

The title of the movie is good, but not strike fear in our hearts as The Dark Knight did. It sounds simple and safe, which were a kind of wait longer.

I firmly believe that the Joker is that reappear in the next movie. Creation is the man the picture of health and I think that would eliminate the clown prince of crime since the writing of the Nolan bros.

I'm sure if they make a third one it will focus more on him... plus.. It's so upsetting that heath ledger died that Im just not interested in seeing the charecter change because a new actor would have to be used.

I have trust in Nolan; he is one of the most gifted ones from the more youthful generation of film-makers, and not for his Batman films.

Something about the Casting doesn't convince me...

But I'll have to wait until the movie shut's me up or does it otherwise.

They have already announced who is in it. Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (but not necessarily as Catwoman,) and Tom Hardy as Bane. Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a yet unnamed part. Chris Nolan has been quite clear that under no circumstances will the Joker come back, as they feel Heath Ledger cannot be replaced. In addition, he has said in the past that he will not do the Penguin, and doesn't really want to do the Riddler either, as neither fit in with his vision of Batman.

Personally, the choice of villains is not the important part. Looking at the three films as an arc, the key is what impact Batman has on Gotham City. (Villains come and go, the citizens are forever.) I've felt, and the title seems to support it, that with the Dark Knight Rising we finally see that Batman is having a positive impact on the People of Gotham. Not just keeping them safe, not just keeping them alive, but inspiring them to be better people.

Batman 3 is actual release with the name The Dark Knight. It is in progress, yet not release. It is very amazing movie. I thought it will take good place in the mind of peoples.
