Not a bad soundtrack, too short for my liking, only 41mins. Not sure if it's worth the €10, but i enjoyed it nonetheless.

Enjoy!!

Thanks Jessie :)
I'll enter that album on vgmdb asap.

There's a big error on iTunes, it's James Dooley, and not Jim Dooley !

Ah yeah alright.. ;)
Seems like there is a famous "Jim Dooley" american footballer, though it was an error, but seems like jim dooley is the name he use the most (official website).

I'll leave it like this for the moment, we'll change that once he get his artist page on vgmdb.

@thejoyrider: A huge number of soundtracks are not available in lossless, and lossy is the only way you could ever get them..
Oh and if you'r not happy with it, you can leave and stick only in the lossless thread cause 90% of uploads on the board are not lossless anyway.

The gamerip is 110 minutes in 48 tracks :D Thanks for this though.

Edit: This is missing so much of the great music Dooley wrote for the game. All of you who liked this should listen to the gamerip when it goes up. The gamerip features many variations on all the action themes, very very enjoyable stuff.

I actually was going to post to say that the original rapidshare link is apparently only available for premium members now, but sapphire_phoenix, if you're doing a direct rip I can wait for that. :)

I prefer Sendspace to Rapidshare, but this is the first time I've encountered the issue with Rapidshare.

I've been listening to the gamerip for about a week now, never got around to putting it up somewhere because I have a terrible connection and upping around even 120mb to a webhost can be an annoying process because my connection tends to drop a lot. I was hoping someone else would eventually release the rip, which is happening now. Barnaby I hope you're not going to inflate the rip with 320cbr. the music on the ISOs in PSP games is always 128cbr, so I tend to rip with v5 which is around 130vbr. It just annoys me when people put up transcoded gamerips =/

I'm ripping the PS2 version which has much better quality than the PSP. I will upload in OGG, MP3 (VBR v0) and FLAC (If anyone wants it).

Oh that's fantastic, I'll be sure to pick that up.

Oh and by the way the PSP's AT3 128kbit/s is equal to about 256kbit/s MP3 in quality.

That's fantastic, Barnaby. Thanks so much! (both of you)

Actually, if you would check a PSP at3 using a spec analyzer you would find they have the same cutoff as 128cbr.

Downloading!

Boy, was I surprised when I found out that Mark Mothersbaugh and Josh Mancell (of Mutato Muzika) didn't do the music for this one. That was a shocker in my eyes.

Can't wait for the gamerip!

I wasn't expecting Mark Mothersbaugh to have much to do with the music, since the game was by a different company and it's been years since he composed the trilogy.

Ever since the trailer I've been saying that the music sounds like Pirates of the Caribbean, and considering James Dooley was part of the scoring process for the first film's soundtrack I'm not surprised anymore. He did a great job and the music in Lost Frontier is one of the only redeeming qualities the game has. I'm really glad the soundtrack got an official release.

Thanks for the link. I much prefer Dooley's VGM work over his stable mate at RC, Steve Jablonsky.

I waited to listen to this until I beat the game, and wow is it ever good. This score is beyond epic. I actually bought this from iTunes after having my face so thoroughly melted - I highly recommend it. This is outstanding work for "just" a PSP game. I hope Dooley stays with the Jak series for a long time (and wouldn't mind hearing his work on any new Ratchet and Clanks).
