I just heard about this game,
disney/squaresoft teaming up?
i heard the characters from previous ff's are in it as character but not ones you can use. and that you summon disney characters to fight battles....im at work right now so i was hoping someone could fill me in on some of this info b/c all sites related to games are proxy'd out to me, so i cant access them....

Otherwise, after the 40 minutes of playing, I really like this game.

Best thing is... it�s not Square Europe responsible for the PAL version, but some Disney thingy... in other terms: There�ll even be a German dub, something Square Europe considered not necessary for FFX... not that I want to play the German version... but there are chances there�ll finally be a good German version of a Square game. This is rare. This must be appriciated.

It's definitely an entertaining game. I wouldn't play it expecting a Final Fantasy, as it's nothing like that. It almost reminds me of Super Mario RPG at times. The battle system feels very Zelda-esque to me. And I can't wait till I make it to the Nightmare Before Christmas World....

Someone at my school is going to sell me this game for 40 dollars. I am getting it Friday, I can't wait. He said it wasn't that great though. He said it was a good idea but the Disney worlds were too small. He wants it until Friday so he can beat it...I don't know if I can hold out that long. I have been anticipating this game eversince I haerd of the release so I guess I can wait 4 more days:(

Kingdom Hearts is a great game. The storyline is my seem a little predictable at times, but that still doesn't erase how entertaining this game is. Though a lot of narrow-minded people think this game is flat out kiddish, I found it to be very fun, hard, and challenging. A recommendation to anyone who enjoys a good action-rpg.

I don't really like the game so far...I think the storyline is weak.

The battles are somewhat fun though, so if you're looking for fun factor, then go for it.

I really like Kingdom Hearts, one thing I've noticed is that it's got a nice sense of humor that the Final Fantasy series seriously lacks nowadays. Kingdom Hearts is a bit more care-free, but in a good way. The storyline isn't way complicated, but it's still very entertaining.
I love the animation! It's like watching a Disney movie, only better 'cause you're playing them RPG style! The stages, while a bit short, are beautifully made.
Hmmm....now if only there were Final Fantasy IX cameos... No, the moogles don't count....:)

i thoroughly enjoyed kingdom hearts. yes its a little too diseyish, but it is a refreshing new game. it poses no real challenge for serious rpgs people. if you go slowly it will take about 25-30 hours. if youre good and speed through it, it will take 15 hours. the ffvii characters are extremely well animated and voiced. i wish you could exchange donald and goofy for leon (squall) and cloud. the kiddie versions of squall, tidus, selphie, and wakka are kinda cool to see. and we cant forget sephiroth now can we. he is unfortunatly voiced by boy band loser lance bass, and surprisingly his in battle voice sound really cool. i havent beat him yet. he has some excessively powerful attacks and extremely fast. if you dont mind spending 50 bucks for a short game, compared to other square game, go get this piece of art. it is also very graphical and has a nice style to each world.

I still can't get over the fact that all the FF cameos are Nomura. Square treats Amano like crap sometimes, I feel bad for him...

Then again, he does go overboard with the fantasy aspect on designs. O_O

uh...is it just me or is the game really really fast? The enemies are basically slash and hack items, there's not really a ton of strategy here. And I feel like I'm missing something, because I keep blasting through one level after another...and I'm really slow sometimes. How long is this game anyway?!

Hey guys you've got to remember that kingdom hearts is a disney game with square features,not the other way around okay.

So really it was disneys idea.......BUT THE GAME STILL KICKS ASS!

its not meant to be really strategic or thought provoking, in battle i mean, if you really hurry through it the game might last about 10 hrs. i took about 25-30 first time through, now if i tryed it would take about 15. its not meant to be long, its aimed at the smaller childrens's.

Heh, I really want to get it as it sounds like my cup of tea even if it's really babyish. I'm still a fan of Disney now and then and I still really like FF of course so Kingdom Hearts will be really good for me. Also, the amount of time it takes to finish is alright with me as long games bore me after a while.

Um, how did Square and Disney think of creating this game anyhoo? As far as I can tell they have nothing to do with each other. Also, I really like the interesting list of voice actors and how you met up with some of the FF game characters.

It's not bad at all. I just finished the Monstro section.

Acutally, I find Kingdom Hearts one of the most enjoyable RPGs. I prefer it over Final Fantasy 7 and 10.

The game definitely has a Zelda/FF feel to it. I never really liked Zelda too much, but this game definitly makes up for it.

Probably what I am most impressed with in the game is the voices. Squall sounded just as I imagined he would. Also, the voices for almost every character are very well done. They did a better job on the voices in this game than in FF10.

Also, the plot was quite well done. Despite the fact that it felt kinda "kiddie" at some points, I really enjoyed the story.

Another big bonus was seeing all the Disney characters in one game. I've always been a big fan of Disney, so one thing I really enjoyed about the game was all the Disney characters used in it.

This game is definitely a great buy. Doesn't matter if your a FF fan, RPG fan, or just play any types of video games, this game is so well done that it's sure to appease any age or group of people.

Do you guys know what the different weapons do in the beginning ?

Well strength, magic, and defense are changed depending on what combo you choose. I took the shield and discarded the sword. Also the questions from Tidus etc. depend on how fast you level up.

Do you know what the effect's are(the effect's of the weapons and anwers)?

Yay I have the game and I must say it is a fantastic game, I choose to use the sword along with magic and discarded the shield. The animations are beautifull and the music is great.

KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX IS INSANE! Okay it rocks, two thumbs up. Well I got to the Unknown fight... boy is it something. But really he's an optional boss you have to have completed the following to fight him:

- Sealed all Keyholes (100 Acre Wood excluded)
- Got all 99 Dalmatians
- Complete Hades Cup (I played Proud Mode in FM, you don't need to complete it,but it is still needed for unlocking Deep Dive in FM. I'll tell you about Deep Dive soon)
- Found all Trinity marks(Trinity Jump, Smash, Tower, Shove,
Detect)

The after sealing the Hollow Bastion keyhole he will be in the Chapel. You will see a scene where he walkes though you and then a flashback takes place, just words...

-"Kairi!"
-"Sora! where are you?"
-"Riku! Why are you helping the heartless?"
-"All for one and one for all!"
-"I will find Kairi"
-"You are the source of all Heartless!"
-"Sora, I'll protect you this time"
-"Thanks Kairi"
-"There is no way that you can get Kairi's heart!"
and last,
-"Give him back his heart" (refers to Riku, actually)

Is he Sora? Another Sora? Future Sora? Actually it can't be
assume that it's right or wrong, because he passed through
you, and you suddenly freaked out by the flashback that you
saw. and ask him who he is (Squaresoft is so smart to make
Unknown really unknown! geesh! He has no voice acting! but
the scene has voice acting in it.) Assume that he is Future
Sora (since he knows everything about you, or not he won't
be passing through you and you saw those flashback scene).

Then he started to talk about something: "You are special" "Your powers, they are futile for me, the power which is very compatible to the darkness" Then he started to charge up his palm. His palm has the electricity on his hands, and attacks Sora. Luckily for Sora, he managed to hold his electric attack by using the Keyblade to block. But can't hold it longer, he reflects the attack, making the Hollow Bastion's roof top damaged a little. Then they talk again. The he says he needs Sora's powers, saying "We are one in the same" then something about him being incomplete without the powers. The fight is far from easy.

No onto Deep Dive as it's called. Just like KH had a secret ending so does FM. It's called Deep Dive and is alot better than the KH one. Basically there are 3 difficulty levels; Easy, Final Mix, and Final Mix: Proud. Beat it on Proud and complete EVERYTHING and you'll see this awesome FMV. I won't tell you too much about it but guess what it confirms it, there are 3 Unknown characters! One of them being King Mickey! And there's even a fight between the other two!

-Japanese websites stated that 60% of the people believes that he is Mickey in
beautiful version. Actually, they are half correct, they are 3 Unknown's if you
see Deep Dive (all dressed in Black Hood) One of them is Mickey in Black Hood!

-Future Sora? Yes, He is quite possible to be him, because there is one man who
saw Sora,told Unknown "He looks like you". Will it be him? Future Sora? and he
wields Keyblade too!quite compatible with Sora's ability and looks. (Secret
Ending makes him look like Sora)Even the Deep Dive revealed that he IS Sora in
other form (thanks to the Blind foldedguy, listed as Another Unknown) But it's
safe assume to not to take a wild guess at this moment. Wait for confimation of
KH2. ()

-Future Riku? nah, the possiblity of he is Riku is zero........But Deep Dive
have announced 3 Unknown's and one is them being Riku (the Blind Folded Guy),
and it's still under confirmation. ()

-Why didn't he tell you who he is after the battle ends? Well, it's quite a
debatable topic, He never tells you who he is. But he stated that they will
meet again. And that time, his identity will be 100% confirm. We have to wait
until KH2 is release <>

-Unknown's eyes is glowing red! Yes, he does that when Sora look at the night
sky at the begining of the Deep Dive, where he comes out from the dark dimension
and looking at Sora from the corner. Is he a demon? ()

-"You and I are the same", Why did Unknown said that? He even stated that Sora's
power is the true power after you defeated him. He also said "I am.....The ones
who seeks power to give me happiness in battle" (I need a better description on
this....) before he disappears in to darkness (He isn't dead yet) <>

-In Deep Dive, Unknown and Another Unknown is fighitng, one Keyblade with one
Keyblade! It's because the Unknown throws the Keyblade Another Unknown catches it, and they fight one on one at the building! (It's a cool scene, Unknown kills the Neo Shadows along his way running upwards to the building, where Another Unknown is).

-Unknown and Another Unknown are friends!? Yes, if you see the FMV, two of them
wearing the same black-green hood. And they were talking to each other. Another
big possiblitythat Unknown is Darkness/Future Sora, and Another Unknown is Riku.
But as usual, not to take a wild guess at the moment. ()

-Unknown's battle theme is called "Disappeared", while Deep Dive's theme is called
"Another Side". They rocks, the song suits the battle with the eerie and tensed
atmosphere, making us feel excited when fighthing Unknown. About "Another Side"
err......quite emotional I should say? <> , ()

Also with Final Mix is 'Gummi Missions' these are small missions you can complete on the way to worlds such as: don't get damaged, collect 30 gummi peices they are normally quite challenging. There are 2 extra Keyblades; One Winged Angel and Diamond Dust, OWA is obtained after defeating Sephiroth and Diamond Dust after beating the Ice Titan. The Cloud Vs. Seph scene is done without voice overs. And well it ROCKS!

Get a copy.... NOW! Also it should be added that another version of Hikari [Simple and Clean] by Utada Hikaru has been mixed for FM... making it 7 versions of Hikari!

Yush, I love Kingdom Hearts, I first saw it on a Euro games channel. When they featured this huge Games Conference in Tokyo. They were showing demos of Sora fighting alongside of Tarzan, and some of the intro's FMV.

This is a fantastic game and all those who love Final Fantasy & Disney, I recommend this game...go get it now!!!
I find it very enjoyable to play especially when my lil sis is sitting watching me play it. She laughs at the humourous parts and is always very surprised to see which Disney character comes next, that kind of feeling with young children is priceless.

BTW RS did you really have to post that here? Could have at least put a spoilers alert.

It's just that the whole Disney thing is putting me off, with being a 20 year old and seeing Disney as the sort of thing that my seven year old niece would be more interested in. Is the game more mature than the Disney tag would have you believe, or is it easy enough to play through?

Don't worry BZ my brother is 20 and he started playing it, only for the challenge. Well ok he loves FF & has watched Disney films. I suppose he does like it for the theme.

Well, being a huge RPG gamer I find it quite easy even on Expert mode. It's fairly mature there's certain things going on which have you 'glued to the game'. It's also very addictive. Don't let the Disney thing put you off. If you're really unsure then I recommend that you rent it first. That's all I can suggest really. A couple of hours is all you need to make your decision ;)

The game itself is quite mature despite the Disney tag. It's moderately challenging on the Normal setting and quite hard on the Extreme setting. It's definately worth a look. The story is quite good aswell, alot better than most Disney movies anyway.

I liked the game alot. But it was very werid. I was playing an epic RPG by Squaresoft and then all of a sudden, Donald and Goofy come jumping up and making werid sounds. I was fun at first then then the replayable lost it's value. It was pretty much of the same stuff over again. Although I haven't beaten it, I would reconemt a rental first. I give it an average rating.

Kingdom Hearts is the kind of game thats suitable for any age.

Its the kind of game where you just have fun.

Plus it has so much freedom (thanks to the real time battle system)you can wander around the world without having to go to a different screen and wait your turn to fight and then blah blah blah monsters turn then your turn and so on.

And don't let the disney characters scare you away.
(I remember this one guy who thought that KH was about picking flowers and doing stuff for mickey.Boy was he wrong XD)

Anywas even if your not sure about shelling $50 then rent it, have a go at it. See if you like it.

(The part of the game that turns some people off from it is Wonderland.But hey TRUST ME after that bits done the game gets better.)

Also like The Scholer mentioned its a love story(just like FF). Sora loves Kairi and he goes out to resure her and nothing's gonna stop him from rescuing Kairi.

Not only does he have to find Kairi and Riku he has to keep up his duty as Keyblade master not to mention hes constantly ambushed by heartless.

So before i finish this post i want to say this one thing. No ones forcing you to play it but you're gonna miss out on a great game thats worth putting to your collection.

i love kingdom hearts. i can't wait for the sequel!

i found it very enjoyable. the plot is very engaging and the characters are great! when i think about the game, i usually don't even think about the disney stuff...only the main sora/kairi/riku plotline. i liked how they did it! also, the final fantasy characters made a good appearance!
