Recently I've been looking through my Xbox 360 games, and I admit I've become bored with some of them. I don't get to go gamestores as often as I'd like due transport issues, so it's hard for me to get ahold of new games etc.

I was wondering if anyone would mind suggesting some games on the Xbox 360 for me to consider.

Some of the games I have at the moment:
Saints Row 2
Overlord II
Mass Effect
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Final Fantasy XI Online
Dynasty Warriors 6/Empires
Warriors Orochi/2
Ghostbusters

I'm not too keen on survival horror games, as to me, they all seem to be just the same thing over and over again (sorry for the generalization in that regard).

I'd just like to get a couple of games with good replay value and are fun to play with a sense of humor. Any recommendations?

Stay away from Halo that aren't the first 2 as they are all garbage.

@jd_9393

I 'had' Grand Theft Auto IV, but got rid of it as I found it to be rather bland gameplay and story wise. Also being interrupted in missions by Roman calling to go and either get drunk, throw darts or go and see 'big fake american titties', or by other people who are part of the 'Niko Bellic' fan club, irked the hell out of me. Driving cars in GTAIV felt like driving on ice, spinning and careening all over the place. Still, the multiplayer part was enjoyable.

Oblivion I've been considering getting as a lot of friends of mine on Xbox Live love it, but I'm still undecided. For the rest of what you suggested, I think I'll download some demos of them off Xbox Live and see what they're like.

@mellifluous tupperware

I'm actually a fan of Halo 2 myself, and I have played Halo 3... but preferred the 2nd installment. Halo 3 for some reason didn't seem right to me, I don't know how to describe it, but it wasn't a game I enjoyed.

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Can't go wrong with the works of the original team behind FF.

Never played them myself tho, but it was a solid reason that kinda made me bias towards getting a 360 for a while.

They should fucking put those out for the Wii and/or PS3 :(

Thanks for the recommendations, but aren't those titles PS3 games? I know Warhawk is and I'm pretty sure the others are as well...

Still, I'll have a look for them as I am after some good games in a big way.

Only 3 games catch my eye with one of them being a "must have" game on the PS3 for me.

Either this is the best the PS3 has or you don't give the PS3 justice :D.

Fallout 3 is a great game and has crazy replay value.

Only other game I would recommend is Mass Effect, but you have that. I suggest waiting for Mass Effect 2. It should only be a few months.

You can get dynasty warroirs 5 empiers on 360 to if you not got it. I have it on ps2 and 360, nothing new if I remember right.

Brutal Legend is pretty great, if you can get past the sligtly awful would-be RTS parts of it. It has a nice chunk of world to explore and secrets to uncover, humour up the wazoo and if you like metal, even better.

I love Brutal Legends. I find it fun, I love metal, and the little things Eddie says at random moments I find amusing.

I also liked the open world exploration part. Didn't see that coming in either the demo or previews.

I know you're not keen on survival horror, but even then I'd recommend Dead Space. Though the game is very linear, it has very solid gameplay and a great story.

I'd say Crackdown, very awesome game, total freedom. Jumping around like the hulk, tossing around anything and everything in sight.

Both Oblivion GOTY and Fallout 3 GOTY. No need to explain.

If you're into it, I really recommend [Prototype]. Kinda like Crackdown meets the Hulk meets Spiderman meets Reisdent Evil.

I am also having a great time with Too Human, but this game isn't for everyone.

Lastly, get Fable II GOTY.

I'd like to second Crackdown, but I disagree with NX about [Prototype]. I found that the game started out fun, but got very repetitive in a hurry and all the fun (even the initially awesome thrills of tear-assing across the skyline in ways that would make Spider-Man weep with envy) drained away long before the end. NX still has good taste though, and I agree with his other recommendations.

EDIT: I can't really stand Oblivion either, come to think of it.

And as you know, the new Call of Duty game is out. Now your experience with the game might be different than mine (because I kinda suck), but I still find it much more fun than Halo. I also like how it will change hosts in the middle of the match if it gets really laggy too. Don't know if they always did that but I like how you don't have to play through the match like that.

Haven't beaten the campaign yet or played that other mode either so I can't really say much about it. And I'm not that great at reviewing games so.....

I do agree on your criticism about [Prototype], it can get boring/repetative. I just really enjoyed the increadible over the top action. You really are a monster, you kill humans with a single strike (as it SHOULD be in this kind of game). The stunts you can pull off, the freedom you have roaming about.

I liked that I had a feel in this game. That feel was, stay the fuck out of my way, or I will mess you up. This is the best aspect of the game, and one of the few games that got it right.

Apart from the fact that most of the time (for me at least) it picks another crap host that laggs the game out to the lobby.

The only time that has happened to me is when there isn't a new host selected. It's kinda rare for me when that happens though. I think it's only happened three times since I had it on the day of the launch.

But I usually only play this late at night because of work. Maybe if I played more frequently it might happen more but I wouldn't know.
