apologise if this the incorrect place to post this question.

But where does everyone download their highquality movie footage from the final fantasy games?
I mean I can find plently of fmv from the games but the quality is terrible.

I'm going to be organising a ff panel at my college game expo and I'd like to make some trailers to go along with it but I need videos that are actually the same sort of quality has shown in the games.

help would be greatly apperciated ;u;...

Try bluelaguna.net - they have all the cutscenes from most Final Fantasy games, both FMV and in-game, in .avi format. You have to download DivX to watch them, but it's by far the best source I've found.

Youtube often has custscenes from the FF series posted on it. The quality though varies wildly from rubbish to high-quality.

RPGamer at www.rpgamer.com also has a few videos (usually the opening videos) and trailers from many of the FF games as well.

Additionally, you have to remember that most, if not all the FF games, were designed for standard-definition TVs, so when played on a HD TV or PC monitor, they often appear pixellated or blurred due to having a much lower resolution. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about this other than run them on an older TV.

IIRC, there was a piece of freeware software called 'PSXMC' which allowed you to rip the FMV from any PSX game, so you could rip the FMV from all the FF's available on the first PlayStation.

I'm not sure if that software is still available now, but one would think that somewhere on the internet there'd be a site with it still available.
