I wish I had known about this about 6 months ago. I had all of the Pizza Hut demo discs because my mom worked there. I could have ripped them straight from the disc.

Changes:

- The hidden track found in Registration demo 1 has been removed because it's from Power Source - The Prince's Trust. According to one of the owners of this rare disc, it had a wrong pitch and was fixed and then added the actual song.
- The OGPM track from August 97 had a bad pitch and was fixed.
- Added soundtracks to the Net Yaroze adverts, Tekken 3 trailer, the THPS 3 tips aswell as the GOTM and ROTM soundtracks.
- The MULTIVIDEO soundtrack has been moved to the OPM German Exclusives since this soundtrack can only be found on the German disc from April 2000

Vol 2 is still coming soon (I also checked a Pizza-Hut demo disc which has the same menu soundtrack as the Interactive Samplers 4 and 5. Other discs may have also been belived to have the same soundtracks from the Interactive samplers aswell as from OUSPM discs)

Vol 3 is also coming and will include tracks from demo versions of games that do not appear in the full versions and also soundtracks from various Net Yaroze games.

NOTE: I had to fix a few things:

- The February - March 99 from the Playstation Zone mag had a bad pitch and is fixed.
- Added the issue numbers of the OPM tracks which included these tracks.
- The Station menu tracks from discs 1,5,6,9 and 10 are still not added (Just like all the others, they are CD tracks like I said before which can be easyly ripped using GoldWave using the LAME encoder and have to be the following format: Layer-3, 44100 Hz, 128 kps, mono).

Now here's what you know how I've ripped the soundtracks:

For OPM (Europe and Germany), Demo One, Power Source and PlayZone, I have used PSound to look into the main files of the frontend, then I have to adjust the Sample rate to get a perfect match of the track and once it's accurrate, I've extracted it into wave and then converted into MP3. Since this track was about 20 to 30 minutes long, I had to shorten it to 3 to 4 minutes.

But for the Demo One 98 track, I had to use an emulator since it only has instruments (similar to demo discs from the US).

For Station, they are audio tracks and I have used GoldWave using the CD Reader tool, then I have to find which track is it. Once it's the right track, I extracted it as an MP3 file with the same format I've mentioned above. (The same thing also happens to the first OPM disc, the OUSPM (excluding 6 and 9), the Eidos demo discs (only in US) and many other discs in the US).

For PlayFun however (except for tracks from December 99 to April 2000), it was not easy. There are two files that are the menu music, notably, they are sortof Stereo tracks. So I have used an emulator again and did the same thing as Demo one 98. For the tracks from December 99 to April 2000, I did the same thing as with the OPM tracks above since there was only one file and which is the menu track.

I'll dig out my Squaresoft Demo disks as well as my Playstation Underground Magazines (I have 1-1 through 2-3 I do believe.)

Gimme some time and I'll send what I can.

The Euro collection was updated with the 7th OPM track pitch fixed and added a few new ROTM and a THPS 3 Tips soundtrack which is the OPM rap.

A small update. New soundtracks have been added in Europe. Those consist of Music 2000 tracks that have been mysteriously found in Euro Demos 80 and 81, which have been used for the ROTM and the THPS 3 tips videos. They are audio tracks.

The Euro Demo soundtracks have been updated with a few that were from Euro Demo 79, that I forgot to include. and also with a VERY, VERY, VERY special addition that I wanted to have for less than 2 years, and that's from the Station Magazine, which is Track 5, that was featured in Station 6 and also in Next Demo 2 (which is from the Italian version of Station simply called Next Station.).

I would like to thank NaitoRaven951 from Youtube for donating me this.

And also I did some more research on Station: It appears that Station 5 shares the same soundtrack as Station 3, while Station 8 and later discs featured a soundtrack from one of the games included on one particluar disc, as a menu soundtrack. And because of this, the Station 8 soundtrack has been removed because the menu soundtrack from that disc is actually from Eliminator (which I never realised until I heard the soundtrack to that game.)

Now I need to find is Station 1 or any demo disc from Chester Square, that has the soundtrack from Station 1 in the menus, which is obviously, like with most Station soundtracks, an Audio track that can be ripped via Windows Media Player in MP3 format.

If you do have Station 1 (which is this one right here: ), you can rip the menu music with WMP into MP3 and then you can upload it here, so I can finally complete the Station Magazine soundtracks.

That first link I posted was the original youtube video where I found the .xm module. For some reason the forum wasn't embedding the damn video.

The .xm module was made by Jason Page, who also made music for a bunch of Amiga, Mega Drive, C64 and Playstation games (among others). Here's the video description from youtube:


This is the ORIGINAL Fast Tracker II Module (.xm) of the great Underwater Music found on the Demo One 1998 (DEMO1V6). This track is know with this name, but I have not found the original name

The module was only arranged to make it more similar to the one played by the PlayStation hardware, this includes panpots and volume settings (mixing), because opened in raw mode it have all sounds centered.
My experience with trackers is not at a big level, so maybe I've not enabled those functions; there is also another part, that you can hear downloading the provided mp3 file below.

You can obviously find the module in the Demo disc, along with the samples and arrange the track as you like.

Okay, FFshrine is back up! What's the plan now?

Well the thing is ... : I can rip sounds from the Discs with PSound but no music and the others programs don't recognize music files at all. I used the normal format and converted them to Iso. So the only method left is recording the music and let them fade out, (no problem would just take a while), or wait for someone talented who've done that before ... :(

Have you tried other ROMs or only one? Tell me which ROM you tried and I'll try and see what I can do, if I'm successful I'll tell you what I did. :)

I used the program before but just the free one, now I've downloaded the newest one + A serial maker from another forum. I zipped them up in one file and uploaded everything to my Mediafire account. So does that allow us to rip the music from the ROMs?

I don't know. I'm currently really busy with other things. But maybe you ask a couple of more folks that can help us out. There's no way we can do this whole thing by ourselves.
