Beginning Re-uploads

On Monday, March 17, 1997 at 4 pm EST Toonami was launched on Cartoon Network.

For 11 years it aired some of the best Anime & western cartoons of the day and I�m betting that if not for Toonami, a lot of us wouldn�t be as into anime as we are now.

It�s been 1 year today since Toonami�s Final broadcast.

On that night and the following day I pulled out everything I could find and watched it:
2 store-bought Card Captors tapes,
a few Pokemon tapes that I picked up on impulse from a $ store,
my sister�s first season of Kenshin DVDs,
her Tenchi DVDs (she has the first episodes for Muyo & Universe as well as the end to In Tokyo),
the first vol. of Clone Wars on DVD with the 2nd recorded on a VHS,
the 2002 He-Man,
most importantly an old VHS of Thundercats from the Tom 1 days complete with all the midnight run bumps and Tom�s speech about Brains vs. Brawn,
And finally a recording of the last broadcast and Tom�s farewell.


The day after that I found out about Deep Space Bass and the Black Hole Mega Mix, listening to those two brought on a huge rush of nostalgia and I�ve been slowly but surely collecting music from my favorite shows that Toonami aired.

This thread will be an archive that I will update and add to as I build my master Toonami playlist.

This is my first thread so I�m hoping I put it in the right place.

Only thing I should warn you about is
I�m on at sporadic times, even if I�ve got a few straight hours I might not be at the computer, and my typing is pretty terrible.

I�m not quite sure how to check what quality an album was ripped at or anything like that, and when I�m doing the ripping I just set the slider to highest quality possible in Windows Media Player so the scant few I personally uploaded are as good as I think I can get them.

So the track 13-�Darknight� is really �Hyperspace� and Dark Night � 00:30 from CLASSIC TOONAMI is probably the real Darknight.

I think we should rename is something like 13 Darknight (Hyperspace ) -02:32 and put a note with the album explaining the above.

mmmm, Toonami. I hated it towards the end...well, hate is the wrong word, I just didn't watch it. Naruto was ghey, and I'd already seen every Kenshin episode... but in the beginning/middle it was bomb...It's the reason I became addicted to anime. Well as you sit and vent I'm still waiting for "Toonami: Legacy"...
Unless you stopped working on it just tell us all so we can stop waiting and hoping.
(I mean at least have "Good Morning" up for download. No way am I ripping it straight from Youtube unless I want the quality to suffer. Could have done it already but now, I seem to have some chance of communication with you.)

I have been already ripping high quality voice Promo's... For the nostalgia sake of it. Favorite is probably DBZ's Tree Of Might Promo. (Gotta love "Lurker".)
Not sure when I'll finish it all up though.

(My family and I have basically set it up where we are our own Toonami now. Every series UNCUT with Promo videos from the lovely Toonami Digital Arsenal. 8-9 Hours of pure Toonami perfection, and were just gonna keep going series after series.)

Because of this I don't know when I'll ever be done ripping the Promo's. Not like I really mind/care though. :D

Advice: Wear Headphones or Earphones. They really wanted you to hear this soundtrack. "CAPSLOCK" is insane and "D & B Remix" is calm yet so powerful.(Don't even get me started on "Prayer"... So much Love.) So give it a listen through those Ears of yours you all!

I have not quit this project and won't until it's complete. After all I did start collecting Toonami music solely for my own playlist and I needed some kind of inventory to archive what I've managed to get. Until I found this site it was a very slow process and I figured that I might as well share what I have seeing as how I've gotten quite a lot from everyone else.

I've just slowed down a lot because Tenchi, Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, & DBZ all have a big amount of OST's and people have been staying up later to watch TV so I don't have as much time to "proof read" the music I have.

What you have is Always by Chihiro Yonekura, a collection of her songs that includes at three from the series. But it's not a Gundam album, despite the artwork for three different 08th singles by Chihiro Yonekura included inside.

The album cover you posted is for the 2nd 08th MS Team OST, The OST called "Millers Report" isn't an actual gundam album, but the album "Azure" by Chihiro Yonekura. The one listed on Japamazon says it has 11 tracks but mine has 13.

My mistake. It is actually called Always by Chirhio Yonekura. Tracks 5,6 and 9 are from 08th MS Team. (although track 9 is a different version then what is heard on the show.)

Ever since the Megaupload thing hunting down stuff has gotten difficult but I still have my eye out. Plus I'm planning on re-uploading stuff and making a little site just for Toonami stuff sometime this year.

That would be freaking great man. Also, the Toonami April fools thing is what lead me back to this page. They actually had some new music for it and everything. Depressing that it was only an April fools joke, but it was good nostalgia.
