Not to come off as ungrateful because I am, but I tend to get abit annoyed when people don't have titles for tracks and are just named "track 1-10".

My collection is stored on my playstation 3 and I like everything to be sorted propperly so it does get a little annoying having to find the names place each tune in the albums INDIVIDUALLY!

One thread in particuler is the PSP frenzy (Thread 66726) thread.

I love the effort they put in to the thread but would it would be nice to add a little proffesionalism to the ost's instead of having 250 tracks ( most of which are less then 20 secs long) named psp01, psp02, ect.

So heres what I was thinking.

# Album sorted
# correct music name Titles
# Full length tracks without "tap" sounds
# Icons

Lets ge some proffesionalism done here!

Thanks for reading!

I used to rip for PSP Frenzy but I got kicked out (I don't yet know why). But the tracks when you rip them don't come pre-titled with the level and everything else and people don't play through just so they can tag the songs. You should already know that.

Well IMO they should, I think that little bit of extra time googling or whatever else they could do to obtain the information would make the thread alot better. I would much preffer it. I guess I can only speak for myself?

don't you agree?

Hmmm if you want the rips to take much longer and have names you might not be happy with anyway then yeah It's a good idea but on the other hand...

I agree, but I also think that if you are wanting it done so badly, put some effort into it and fix the problem. Then, upload the new (and correctly done) album somewhere, giving credit to the original ripper, of course. I don't want this to come off like I am rude or something, but it kinda annoys me that people keep asking for stuff to be done without even trying something themselves. If it really annoys you, just stay away from them and do your own. Even if you were to just find all of the information and post it somewhere so people could go back and tag stuff themselves, it would alleviate some your problem for others.

Exactly my point!

Agreed. If they took the time to rip the soundtrack, be grateful for that.

So nobody really cares about having top quality downloads.

I downloaded the oroginal OST's from Digimon world 2003 yesterday, not only did it not have the main battle theme but every track had *bleep* sounds throughout. The file size I believe was 250mb and with my current 8mb throttled connection it took me a while to download.

If we set a standard for Ripping it would make these forums a much better place to download music and would draw more users, How is this wrong or "ungrateful" which by the way I already stated that I was.

No sir, I personally do care about quality downloads, and am willing to put the effort into the stuff that I do download to make it top quality. And, I am not saying that it is wrong to set a standard for ripping. But, it is wrong to expect a handful of people to police every rip. And as stated before, not everyone who rips really cares about that stuff. A lot of stuff that is ripped is put onto audio CDs where the album art and information don't even show up. It is good in theory, but the only thing you can do right now is try to have your own rips "complete" and hope that other people do the same on theirs. There is not going to be a set of rules like that anytime soon because the moment one is set in place, all of the lazy people will stop posting their stuff here and just go to somewhere where there isn't a code.

lol you're asking for the impossible. It's 50/50 with rippers. There's those who want the job done, and there's those who want the job done right. I know where you're coming from when wanting a track list when listening to your music. I take months to release gamerips, because I have to either play the game entirely, or translate japanese text to create a track list.

Btw. You honestly shouldn't stress about the whole tracklisting dilemma. Because:
1. Ripping the music can be a just as much frustration as creating a track list.
2. If you want high quality. Prepare for bigger sized downloads.
3. Information on games could be hard to find.

Oh, and don't forget. Whatever one person rips. There is always another ripper that would make it better.
