What? There are a ton of faqs that say he can be bribed. Lord Ochu can also be bribed. (And how is Lord Ochu optional?)

EDIT: Got bribe to work. Only used 1,000,000 gil and got 62 pendulums.

Are you sure about bribing ultima ?
and if so what happens ?why is it so important ?

If you bribe Ultima for 1.4 million gil, he gives you 99 pendulums. 30 pendulums can be used to add "master thief" to armor, which makes it so you can only steal rare items.

Are you sure that its possible ?
because its hard to get such money !

Well, it's not so much that you have to pay him EXACTLY 1.4 million gil, it's more like an average. Pay him 2 million gil, you'll probably get 99, whereas you pay him 1.5 million and only get 70 or so.

You can never really trust the guides on how much you should pay, since it's just an average on what he usually gives you. I bribed an Ochu once and got 73 Remedies because I paid a couple thousand over the suggested price.

I didn't bribe Ultima or Omega though, and I'm just peachy.

Robin, once you get higher in the game, you'll have about 100,000 gil coming in per battle. And then you can also use the gil trick to accumulate tons of money. I have over 20 million myself, not including the weapons I'm going to need to sell. I also have the priciest Blitzball players and challenge Nemesis all the time too, so I'd probably have well over 30 if I was smart enough not to.

Pendulums are a pain to get early on,but the result isn't as good as I expected from the sounds of the skill, you basically get the same item from every type ,meaning the little bugs give you the same item with master theif no matter which one you fight...it still good to have though, especially earlier.....instead of later when don't need it

Couldn't you get 30 Pendulems in the Reminem Temple Race...? I'm not sure but I think I got 30 for getting 4 treasure chests. Can never get 5 though... :)

Yes, as stated before, you can get 30 Pendulums for finding four chests in that race.

Five gives you 30 Wings to Discovery. Well that's what I got, but some other sources say you get 60 Three Stars and 30 Wings when you get three.

In order to get five, you must follow the picture here (http://www.rpgplanet.com/ff9/ff10/remiem.shtml). From start, go to A, then race back to B, then go over to C, then run as fast as you can to D, then book it over to F, pass the other chocobo, and finish the race. It's quite easy to explain, but very hard to do.

And you can't get all six; it's impossible.
