About not knowing how to rip it, I think I can help you there. I messed around with the .WAD and got a .brsar file. Do you know how to unpack them? I found 'Ripping Mama' and 'BRSAR Unpack', but neither of them work... The brsar's at http://www.mediafire.com/?wtgn4mqwfqz if anyone knows how.

Hey, sorry for such an old bump, but with a handful of topics for music rips from this game I really didn't want to create another one for it.

Has anyone been able to figure out the .BRSAR yet? I know I've also tried out Ripping Mama and BRSAR Unpack, but didn't get any results, either.

Thread revived! And I am once again requesting all the new music in this game. (It seems the recycled music is the same music from the DS version). ESPECIALLY Maenad's battle theme.

That doesn't need to be ripped. It's the first track on the FF4DS OST.

Well, I managed to find the .RSEQ versions of the themes (there are apparently 75, but don't take my word on it)... I just don't know of anything to convert them, let alone play them. I know .SSEQ files are for DS, but I don't know if such things for DS files can work with .RSEQ files.

As said, these are .RSEQ files; I have no idea how to convert them, or listen to them. I hear they're supposedly in some sort of altered MIDI format, and are very similar to the DS music .SSEQ, but that's about all I've collected.

If there's anyone who can get these working, we'd be much obliged. (:

I think .RSEQ may be a proprietary format that's only used in a few games, with the decoder included in the game code. .SSEQ files are in a known format, so I checked for similarities to an .RSEQ file and found none. For now, the only way to get a high quality rip may be for someone to run through it on Dolphin and do a direct recording.
