Well, i guess cuz im bored mostly. i think that playing a game is fun too...it...well...i dunno y its fun but it is. i also like to read cuz u get 2 b n the life of others for a while and thats always fun, so i guess a game is like that n a way xcept u play it as well. s'pose that would b another reason they appeal 2 me. i guess my overall reason is cuz i love 2 get involved w/ other character's stories, and i dont like 2 read all of the time. i prefer a little interaction other than turning a page.

Hmmnm, well its entertainment. I mean i love sitting down to my beloved gamecube. Just, i can't explain it, but i love gaming

It's fun, simple as that. Being able to play the role of another person is addicting sometimes, since I'm not quite good enough for the NFL (yet), I play madden against my friends, it's hard to beat the excitement of an eighty yard drive with one minute thirty seconds left in the fourth when your down by five.

to get away from it all by delluding myself with the makings of someone's idea of a perfect world through a video game. -_-

yes it sounds pathetic but its quite...satisfying. :D

Just wondering, and no offense meant to anyone obviously, but doesn't this belong in general gaming?

If someone were to post a thread asking "why do you play final fantasy?" it would be shuffled off to the General FF Forum.... this has to do with gaming so why not general gaming?

why do i game......good question.. i really dont have a reasen i just do it, it's fun and i like to do it i guess theirs really nothing else to do really or watch TV whitch gets boring compared that final boss on the game you have been playing for 90 hours......

Oh boy I started playing the original Mario Bros. when I was about 4 or 5, one night I woke up around 2 AM and walked to the tv and started playing, but , to my suprise my dad walked down in 10 min so I got in trouble... But now I play RPG's cuz I think I'm addicited and they make u solve puzzles and I get hooked on the story lines too. But anyother games I play for fun like StarCraft I play cuz I like to OWN people on-line :-)!

I pretty much grew up playing Super Mario Bros. on Super NES. *sighs* Then I became more of a girl and started playing with Barbie dolls. *eck*

But I guess because the game is really fun and there's this hint of addiction in my blood? Nyah, now I don't even know what I'm sayin.

I game because:-

It's fun
It gives me something to do
I like RPG's the most, and they are EXTREMLY fun to play as they can take quite long
Because i've grown up with games around me.

I don't game as much as I use to, but I guess I did it for entertainment. I didn't use to have the interent, so video games were pretty much my only source of entertainment.

Video games are probably one of the best sources of entertainment they have came out with. They are fun, they have interesting storylines that can really get you involved, and it takes your mind off the real world.

It's good to get a break from the real world sometimes, thats for sure.

I game when I need to escape from the real world for a while.

i gaming cos i like to explore/travel adventure and stuff itys really kool i like to see knew places na dinvestigate if u know wot i mean,also they are really fun!:D

because its fun what other reason do you need and it is also a fun thing to do with friends its better than getting high it gets you high with out drugs.

I grew up playing games. The first system I ever had was the Arti. Then after that I got just about everything that came out. I game because I'm a hardcore gamer. It's really fun. I gives me somthing to do instead of being bored. It's also a sociable thing. I also play to get away for a while, to help me to get things off my mind and help me relax.

When I need a little break from my hectic life, I play games. They really relieve the stress that my life puts on my shoulders. It is also amusing to see what is impossible to become possible right before your eyes.

Because it lets me escape!! I love being able to be someone else for a while. A CT or A mage or somthing like that. It's escapism and I love it!

Well, I started playing games cause it's fun and entertaing, I enjoy them.
Now, my friends say I play them to the fullest and explore ever detail, they say I treat games like an art, seeing if every piece fits.

I think that Kenshin's friends have discribe the way I play perfectly.

I play because it is fun to be someone else. I like playing RPG's mostly because life sucks and it is fun getting away from it, if only for an hour or so a night. I is also fun doing things that you can't do in the real world. It is also something you can do alone or with friends, but I mainly play solo. Don't know what else there is to say.....whatever.

Becuz i have nothing else to do. I play half-life mods such as DMC and cs, and every so often starcraft. I dont plan to get any more games in the near future and i usually dont enjoy gaming, dispite i have been doing it every day for about 12 years. I dont like ti that much but i have nothing to do and im addicted so i cant help it. I have a strange story yes. In the past i have mastered such FF games and lucasarts adventure games, as well as all the past ID fpsers and other such fps games like unreal. I started out playing stuff like jill of the jungle, epic pinball, and commander keen. Sometimes i do enjoy a game when its new or pinball games which are fun to beat other peoples score

I started to play games when i was about 5 years olds, it was that x-mas when i got my first nintendo with mario bro.3 i had that for a good many years before i got super nintendo, now thats games are in my blood i play a game just about every day for about 3-4 hours (even the ones i bet already) i have had just about every system out there except for saga saturnand i plan to get gc, gba, and ps2 very soon.

Uh...because it's fun. :p
