I've always liked the M. Night Shaymalon (sp?) movies so I might just see it for that. I don't watch the anime at all so I guess I won't really care if they changed things about the movie.

It's always good to go in with an open mind. It was like the live action Initial D movie. I went in like I didn't even know what Initial D was and I thought the movie was pretty good. Not great, but good. Others on the other hand....talk about pissed.

first off: it's not an anime, it's an american tv show whose art was inspired by, and designed to emulate, anime.

secondly: M. Night Shayamalan's movies have been terrible of late, at least imo, so i expect the same of this movie. i also expect a really bad twist at the end. there has been promotional pictures leaked and it all just looks really bad. won't really know if it is bad until i see the movie though. hopefully i am proven wrong and the movie is good.

I haven't liked Shayamalan's latest films so I'm not expecting much from the movie. I think I'll skip seeing this movie at theaters and maybe wait until DVD to rent it or something.

Well, M. Night's films have been hit and miss in my book lately and I've never even seen one episode of this Avatar show so I doubt I'll see this. And the teaser doesn't make it seem promising either.

I'll probably see it. I enjoyed the show and my only real concern is if the kid playing Aang can actually act. He's some martial arts champion, but if he can't act he can't fake it the whole movie considering he plays the main character.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite cartoon. But I WILL NOT see the movie. M. Night sucks.

I just started watching it mid summer.
Fount it at the libaery and it looked like the entire series was there so I thought I�d give it a try.
Going in I didn�t hope for much, was expecting just a Naruto but instead I got Lord of the Rings just everyone has big teary Elijah Wood puppy dog eyes.
Unfortunately someone lost disc 3 of the last season so I�m thinking about netflixing it to finish the series.

That's not Mae Whitman that's Nicola Peltz, if you google her name that's one of the first pics of her on image results. But I can see how anyone can confuse the two, there kinda similar and at that age they can easily look different in a short period of time.
