OKAY PEEPS.

I have found 671 Spongebob Squarepants Music Tracks from various production libraries, including

Sonoton
Bruton
KPM
Carlin
Trede
Selected Sound
NFL Film

Etc.

Also, i have found 3 albums that contain some of the somes that were sung in the episodes Including:

Ripped Pants
F.U.N
Signature Tune

Etc

Also, i have found the 2 tracks that were performed by 'The Mel-Tones'

'Rocket Sled to Oahu'
'Kung Fu Saturdays'

Now i am not sure if anymore of 'The Mel-Tones' music was used in the episodes, but i have 3 or 4 albums by them. So if anyone knows of any other tracks that were used, please let me know and i will see if i have them.

I unfortunately have not found *ALL* (Believe it or not) the music from Libraries that were used. This may be due to me not (obviously) having the disc they are present on. But i also checked APM - Sonofind - UPM and KPM-Play websites, searching fruitfully (and tirelessly) for the tracks, so it could be also that the cd's that the tracks were not present on were not on the website in general (or at least there tracks)

So here is the list of tracks i have failed to find (some have the library in brackets) these were on the APM site but i could not download them, not having an account with them....

So any help with the above tracks will be greatly appreciated

Now, there is a grand total of 671 tracks (as mentioned) totalling a WHOPPING 2.16gb in size with a playing time of just over 17 hours

Suffice to say, after great deliberation, I have decided not to upload them all n 1 batch, or many batches (at this time) as it may be a long time to get all the tracks uploaded, to which will result in hours of tedious uploading and you guys tediously downloading 2.16gig of music. (and i just dont have the time)

However i will be uploading my personal favorite tracks later this evening

You can check this thread (post 15)

Thread 67952

Whereupon IM24CTU has posted a checklist of tracks (production music) that were used (Thanks my good man)

So for now, i am going to suggest that people make suggestions on which tracks they wish to have prior to any others, which will make easier for me to upload and you guys downloading.

Rules!

Just 2

Make as many track requests as you want, just dont post saying

Rule 1: I WANT THEM ALL (you will be ignored as a time wasting cretin)
Rule 2: Dont ask for specific episode tracks, by that i mean:

''Can you upload all the music that was used in 'Such-and-such'' Episode

Unless of course you know the name of the tracks that were used in that episode, then fine. Cos i aint got a clue, so asking that would be as redundant as Rule 1.

In fact, if you know what tracks were used in which episode, it would be highly appreciated if you could let me know, then i can get my guys to make Episodic-Season artwork for us all.

Thanks and Enjoy the music!

Being a sizeable fan of the production music and owning several hundreds tracks myself, I'd be really interested to "collect" more.
I already have the two Ren & Stimpy compilations posted on the Secret Fun Blog + some various smaller compilations. Though, I seem to lack many tracks that were listed to be used in Spongebob.

If I fully understood, you expect me to specify the tracks which I'd like to have uploaded. Well, that's rather difficult since I have no knowledge which of the songs are better than others. If you ask me, they all are priceless.

Therefore, I'd suggest that - if possible - you could start uploading them alphabetically, one bunch always containing about 20-50 tracks. Thus nothing would be missed. Of course I'd require a lot work from you to upload the whole 2.16Gb, but perhaps this way(piece by piece) it might work.

Thanks in advance for your planned contributions.

Could you upload two cues for me?

I don't know the name for either, unfortunately, one plays backwards in a scene in Pickles, and the other is commonly referred to as "Dramatic Cue D" and appears in a number of episodes, including when Patrick "kidnaps" Spongebob in Patrick Smartpants.

can do Dramatic Cue D. will watch 'Pickles' Episode but cannot garantee i can gind the track for it, specifically if it is not originally backwards (may be more difficult to find) unless you can source the name of the track

Any thoughts regarding my idea, scoreman? =)

Seriously, I'm excited to know there's a person who's likely to have plenty of previously unheard library music tracks.
So, I'm hoping there would be a way that you could upload at least...half or quarter of them. That would mean a lot to me, and, additionally, I'm positive I wouldn't be the only one who appreciated your work. ;)

Thanks, I'm not sure what the official title for the one in "Pickles" is, at any rate, Dramatic Cue D was the one I wanted the most.

EDIT: My bad, it's not Cue D, it's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Td69qqkhROo at 3:40-3:43. I'd appreciate it if you could upload that one, it's probably a "Dramatic Impact".

EDIT again: The one from Pickles is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW54yGMUw-A

I don't know if you'd be willing / able to help me find a certain track I've been looking for... It's a somewhat jazzy / lounge type of song, played on the piano. I remember it playing at the restaurant where Mr. Krabs takes Mrs. Puff out on a date (Mrs. Puff refers to it as "imported music", and the camera moves in on a scuba-diver playing the piano)

If you'd be willing to find and upload this song, I'd really appreciate it. ^_^

I just found this forum and this thread and thought I'd register to try and help. Those songs you can't download from APM, I have them. I've been recording them off the APM website with Audacity. Right now I have about 270 songs including most of the songs in that list. They are a mix of 128-192kbps and all of the songs I have so far total 464mbs.
I'll be uploading them soon to an upload site if anyone wants them.

In season 1 episode 12b, Employee of the Month, Nickelodeon changed the song that was played while spongebob was spying on Squidward at 3:30.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOvFsQ2Gw00&feature=related
The above video is what was showed on TV, but the video below has the original song. The second video is speed up but you can still hear the different song at 1:45.

StarTrist

That track in Toy Store of Doom is not the same track. I highly doubt this track was ever used again because Nickolodeon changed the track when it aired; most likely changed due to copyright issues, or something of that nature. I have uploaded the scene with the original song for better listening (the other one I linked was sped up).

Chocolate Misu
04-19-2010, 02:35 AM
Alright, I've found the track that was used.

To start off the search was a trip to wiki, which told me this "The majority of the background music used in SpongeBob SquarePants comes from the Associated Production Music library".

So I looked it up - http://www.apmmusic.com/

Now, either I don't know how to navigate the search function or the function just sucks, but it was kind of a pain to find anything in there. So assuming that the sound of the bit was kind of a spy thing, I started looking under the spy/mystery sections and sampled every track until I came across it.

Find it under -
STYLES
60s ACTION ADVENTURE SPY FILM
ARCHIVAL 6 - SPIES AND DETECTIVES
catalog # - SCD 487

The track is #64 and appropriately named "Sneak Up"

It's not the same short cut track used in the show, it's about 2 minutes long. To be able to download it from there though you have to be signed in. I'm having a difficult time finding it anywhere else.

I hope this helps you :swoon:

edit - now that I think about it since the track is available for mass use, I doubt it was cut for legal issues. :/ Curious...

2nd edit - I found the actual background info...

Plankton's Army- Plankton is paralyzed
Have You Seen This Snail?- SpongeBob before Gary came back
The Thing- Because smelly is treated unfairly
The Original Fry Cook- SpongeBob resigns
No Nose Knows- Patrick sulks because he did not have a nose
The Card- Because the card is ruined
Toy Store of Doom- After the title card
Shell Shocked- SpongeBob and Gary cry

I would also appreciated if you give me the download link.

It definitely doesn't sound like an original composition for the show. Its got that old APM quality sound (like most of the other SpongeBob stuff).

Thanks a bunch for looking though. I can't believe you searched all day! I really appreciate your mad searching skills.

Well, I guess, don't let it get to your head. A break should probably calm your soul -get some food, take a nap, play some VGs, rinse and repeat.

I so wish apm had a better search function.

Oh man, I hear ya! I tried looking for "Panther Prowl" once (a song from the same "Karate Choppers" episode), and sheesh -what a pain in the ass. I found it though. Last time I searched there (a year or two ago), they had special search rules like 'spaces must be typed in as underscores' and stuff like that. It took me hours to figure that out. Within those hours, I was browsing various collections.

Btw, speaking of "Panther Prowl" do you or does anyone else from the Shrine have this? I would most definitely like to jam to this with it on my iPod.

Maybe its a search for APM employees/experts and when you ever want to use their tracks you would have to ask them to find one for you...and then they would use their detailed and well-layed-out catalogs to figure out which CDs contain which songs...lucky them...

T.T I'm defeated again. I've gone through the entire STYLES >> 60s ACTION ADVENTURE SPY FILM section (there's quite a few Spongebob bits in that section) and I've come out empty handed. It has to be in another section. It's gotta be in one the 60s/70s sections, I just can't imagine being anywhere else. I've tried looking under brass and flute but I don't think it's giving me what I want :( I'm gonna take a break from this for awhile and get back to doing scans for the strat guide thread. I'm sorry my searches came up empty :( I don't plan on giving up entirely though. I'll get back to digging through the library.

Dear goodness, I have such a headache now T.T I need sleep.

Although I feel bad for asking you to take on this daunting task, I do feel all the more appreciative of your efforts. It really is awesome that you're trying so hard to find this song. However, if you derive any more headaches from these searches, I think I'm gonna have to decommission you from the search party (which consists of you, me...and maybe anonymous FFShriners).

A break would be worthwhile. Go 'live it up'! I'll talk to you...sometime in the future...

Ya break time will be good, however I'll be spending my breaktime finishing my scans for the strat guide thread :) Maybe I'll pick up the search again next week.

Please, help, help, help me:

I've been searching for this song for such a long time, it's gotta be one of my favorite songs ever, haha. In the episode "Dying for Pie", Squidward hears the explosion behind the brick wall and it's really Spongebob. While Squidward begins to argue with Spongebob, a hawaiian sounding song plays in the background. It's used in many, many episodes but this is the best instance I can recall of it. If anyone can find the name of this song for me, I'd be their best friend. lol PLEASE

^ *rams head into the table* This one is eluding me too?! >.< Not fair. I can't find it. *sigh* Now I've got 2 bits to find. I'm going to continue on my break for awhile longer to scan 2 more guides for the strat guide thread. I don't have anymore requests after those. I'll get back on the hunt at apm to find them.

That would be awesome, I just don't know how I'm gonna find this song, haha. I'd help you but I'm not too savvy on that stuff :p

Basically, if you can't find any info on it through the net, then the last resort is to search for it at apm. I've been searching through the Hawaiian stuff but I can't find it. I have found quite a few other Spongebob bits except for that one :( If you wanna take a look through it you're free to try, but their search function is pretty weak. The basic way to find stuff is just sample everything down the list until you run into what you want.

Yeea, but other than the minuscule SpongeBob stuff referenced I also liked the other categories on his blog too. The Ren & Stimpy music links are also much appreciated.

I wonder if this SpeedyBoris dood has a lot of time on his/her hands and whether or not he/she takes requests...

What is the music played in the Season 1 episode Reef Blower after he points "You"? It's been in other episodes and they played it in the queue line for the SpongeBob 3D ride, but I just can't find anything on that one.

Wow..Suprised at some of the cues Spongebob used..Pink Lilac is a cue by Conrad Leonard who was born in 1898 and was used in a PRE-SEELY Looney Tunes short, "One Meat Brawl", arranged by Carl Stalling.

"Chase me Chester" by Roger Roger is that cue used at 2:20 in this Gumby short:

Surprised to see what Spongebob used..Chase me Chester is at 2:20 in in this Gumby film .

Pink Lilac by Conrad Leonard is an old old tune that was used ten years pre-Seely by CARL STALLING here with Porky Pig. or at least a similiar tune.

Ren and Stimpy Vol. 3 confuses me. I went back to the original blog that compiled the first 2, and there is no mention of a third. The track list does look like the kind of APM music Ren and Stimpy uses, but it has no image and no download link. Does anybody know the story behind this volume?

It's limited, and yet it's a torrent for now. I've been trying to track down these volumes for hours now.

Here's an idea for those who want to find the songs their looking: Use this (http://spongebob.wikia.com/wiki/SpongeBob_SquarePants) to track them down, look below the eps info page to find the list of music used in that eps

Does anyone have these songs

Horror Chords (A-D)
by Paddy Kingsland.

"Horror Cue (A-G)", "Horror Scenerys (A-D)", and "House of Horrors"
by W. Merreck Farra

These are my favorite tracks from the show

I know it's a bit vague but there's a great swing/big band cue used in an episode during a scene where SpongeBob and Patrick are being chased by Plankton through the city. the hide in a trashcan, that's all I remember.
not much sorry, but can anybody identify this tune?
thanks a lot!

Got to say a massive thanks for everyone who is sharing this material, it's really very much appreciated! I instantly recognized a few pieces of library music which was also used in Night Of The Living Dead in a couple of the SPSP episodes, and I've been hunting round for a number of other SPSP pieces ever since. I notice that the cinematic & epic music was used in many TV, Cartoon, Movie, Anime, and Videogame scores like in the Spiderman 2 PSX game and in Jackie Chan's First Strike. Could someone please tell me where it from and who composed it.

Okay, I've gone all the way through Ren & Stimpy Vol. 3 Interesting. A Number of very unique cues, in particular, what appear to be the original source pieces by Raymond Scott that Carl Stalling would later rerecord with a full orchestra.

However,
This is definitely not what it claims to be. For a couple reasons. First of all, the blog which produced Volumes 1 and 2 is still up and makes no mention of a 3. Second, the lack of metadata or an actual cover makes its provenance dubious. Third, it replicates a handful of tracks from the earlier work, as well as the theme music (which is as an original creation, does not belong in a production music album.) Fourth, and this is very important, this is not really Ren and Stimpy music. Now I am certain there are much, much better Ren and Stimpy fans out about who can confirm or deny this, but virtually none of the tracks, as interesting as they are, are anything you would ever hear on the show.

So I'm brought back to my earlier question. Does anybody know where this actually came from, and who created it?

Still very glad I have it,
JonC

The song you are thinking of is on The Yellow Album (http://www.sendspace.com/file/iu549o).

(The fanfare before it is in fact a generic cue found elsewhere on this page. I don't remeber where at the moment.)

Okay, I've got some more information about Ren and Stimpy 3, and it makes things more and less clear.

This album was found on PirateBay and claims to have been provided by Voncheech, the guy who collected the first 2 volumes. However, it was someone else, Kirk Demaris, who actually ran down all the metadata and made the covers. So, the reason it's missing these things is probably because Kirk Demaris hasn't had a chance to get around to it yet. (It looks like a pretty time consuming process.) As for the content, well, Demaris says that Volume 1 is primarily from the John K. period, and Volume 2 is primarily from after his departure. Based on that description, I don't know if there really is much to make a Volume 3. (Although, again, a Ren and Stimpy expert could better answer this question.) So that the music doesn't seem to be from Ren and Stimpy does make sense (they've used it all up,) and doesn't (why call it Ren and Stimpy.)

In conclusion, I still don't know what's going on. But I have a better sense of what I don't know.

I am wondering if anyone can direct me to the name of the song(s) used in the climax of the episode "Graveyard Shift," when the Hash-Slinging Slasher arrives and Squidward explains to Spongebob what's going on. Have these pieces been found yet?

Also, has anyone found the piece from the same episode back at the start where Krabs says, "We're now open 24 hours a day"?

Just to let everyone know, I still haven't gotten to a point where I feel like going through APM to search for those elusive bits yet :( Sorry for my slowness.

However, there is a youtube user named PatrickLify (http://www.youtube.com/user/PatrickLify) who is an avid uploader of SB apm tracks. He is also taking requests. If anyone wants to look through what he's got and/or make a request, he is a very good resource. :) When he posts the tracks, he puts a still shot of the scene it goes to making it easier to identify.

The Dimensioner
06-15-2010, 09:33 PM
Are the track names that PatrickLify posts the actual titles for those songs coming from APM? Meaning we could find them ourselves? (The quality of some of his songs is not that great.)

EDIT: Also, I found another YouTube user who's got 54 Spongebob songs. These don't have scenes to with them though.

EDIT 2: Here's House of Horror (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIr9weQc2cI&feature=watch_response)

Chocolate Misu

^ Yes the track titles he posts are correct. Too bad I searched all that time for Sneak Up and he posted it last week :p

edit -

Also 2 other channels that are quite useful are RALTVGERMANY (http://www.youtube.com/user/RALTVGERMANY) and Kittyslasher69 (http://www.youtube.com/user/Kittyslasher69).

RALTV uploads a lot of SB apm tracks and makes them easy to spot in the line up. And Kittyslasher uploads tons of apm music in general, there is some SB stuff in the line but it's not as easy to spot since everything is just labeled as APM MUSIC. Still it's quicker to sample them there than on apm's site.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but does anyone know the name of the three-chord cue that plays during the line "You ghoulish fiends hold me down and take turns nibbling on my innards. Then you eat my brain and leave my body for the buzzards!" or such from One Krab's Trash?

I know that cue appears in a lot of later-season episodes as well, but this was the only definite example I can think of.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the name via the Spongebob wiki and www.apmmusic.com, it's "Frankenstein's Niece (A)". No need to bother uploading it.

Hey everyone, I found this thread through Googling my user name, heh.

As a visit to my blog will indicate, I'm more interested in Ren & Stimpy music identification than SpongeBob. I -am- interested in SpongeBob music, but mostly seasons 1-3 (because that's what I'm most familiar with). I've thought about doing episode breakdowns for the show like I did with R&S, but the amount of episodes of SpongeBob is staggering, and the series shows no signs of stopping, meaning my job would never be finished, at least not for a while. And to be honest, I don't have a huge motivation to keep up with the newest episodes. I haven't regularly watched SpongeBob since season 4, to give you an idea.

However, as already mentioned, there ARE more specific "which played in what episode" breakdowns at the SpongeBob Wikia (http://spongebob.wikia.com - although it doesn't contain music identifications for every episode), and a certain member who's helped me out at my blog has thrown around the idea of starting his own blog with SpongeBob episode breakdowns. That doesn't mean he definitely will, so don't give your hopes up, but it's certainly possible. If he starts a blog, I'll be sure to provide a link here.

And to answer two questions from a couple pages back, yes, I do have too much time on my hands, and no, I don't do requests (I assume you're talking about downloads). Sorry. :)

WOAHOOO! Boris I'm surprised to actually see you here! :) You don't know me at all, but I've been to your blog quite a few times.

Thanks for the info about what you do and what you're interested in. I completely understand about not wanting to do a Spongebob breakdown. I thought about doing it once before......... and then I realized how many months - years of work that it would involve :p

Stick around and hang out :) I'm sure some other members here would love to talk to you about some Ren and Stimpy stuff.

I wonder if someone would recognize this particular cue. Here's an audio clip from a Spongebob episode. I have tried to eliminate SFX.

http://jjserver.pp.fi/music/Chase%20Cue%201.mp3
1.13Mb, 29 sec

I suspect it's one of the original cues by The Blue Hawaiians, directly meant for the show. So don't get fooled by the filename that I made myself.
My question is, would there be a better version available and what's the real title of the cue?

jdaster64
06-24-2010, 03:30 AM
In the same vein of what ZeiTsei posted above, I'm curious as to what the title card music in "Dying For Pie", "Jellyfish Jam", et al. is. It's listed on the Spongebob wiki (http://spongebob.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Associated_Production_Music/u) as "Unknown Tracks 2", and appears often in the show (sometimes without whistling). On that note, the Spongebob wiki calls the cue posted above "Unknown Chase 1" (and/or 2?), and states that it was composed by Kapono Beamer.

Spongebob Production Music (Thread 67952)

I believe I was after this cue a long time ago. If you can't find my posts, I'm fairly certain you are referring to "House of Horror" by Associated Music Productions. There are a couple versions of it around YouTube. If I'm not mistaken, this cue was also used in "Wet Painters".

there's a specific production song im looking for. dont know the name but its VERY commonly used throughout the series.

i think it usually is heard when someone is thinking for a long time or planning something. that goes double for Plankton. It has been used when Sponge is causing or is about to cause trouble for Squidward with or without Pat.

I think its a sax or trumpet with ????

i know thats not much of a description but idk how else to narrow it. ill see if i can identify it when i hear it next time & re-post on here cuz i'd really like to have it. last i downloaded, it wasnt uploaded yet.

also i see that there are no title bgms here. what im referring to is when when the name of the episode is shown followed by the usual credits. i saw some of them on youtube. this one user has many of them up. but its not the greatest quality.

i have seasons 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and when i have free time, ill use a video splitter to get the opening credits and then convert them to audio. i wouldnt expect it soon though cuz idk when ill have time to do that but it wont be anytime soon. besides that, ive never uploaded anywhere so i wouldnt know how to and do not under any circumstances intend to spend a penny to upload stuff on any hosting service.

it's youtube so thats to be expected. if i were u, i'd do exactly what im doing now. get on youtube & grab as much SBSP/APM music (and anything else i like) as i can before its taken down.

usually things are taken off cuz of copyright. but this just goes into my point of why Production companies don't release their material. their stuff is heard on tv shows and stuff so people know & love em. why not release it? people upload it on youtube to share. how they got it, idk. but if its gonna be taken down cuz of copyright and/or at the company's request, they should allow us to get them. either release on cd or digitally through your website, amazon, itunes....so many ways so whats stoppin them?

I have been searching for a long time for the songs that play in the title cards. I also would be the most happy person on earth if i could get that song that song that plays throughout the entirety of "Reef Blower". On all places I look, it is listed as "[Original Music by The Blue Hawaiians]". And even though I can't find the tracks, I know a solution to finding title card music. This is sort of a fail answer, but if you download an audio thing called audacity, you can record the music, then sort of.. piece it together in your own way, like looping the song, and copying and pasting parts. and if anyone finds out where i can get the tracks, I WILL BE SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!! please find it! i need so much help! I'd like to hear some of the music from these Spongebob Episodes:

The first one plays in the epsiodes, "Reef Blower", "Ripped Pants", when the narrtor says: "Ah, Goo Lagoon. A stinky mud puddle to you & me but to the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom, a wonderful stinky mud puddle. {The Blue Hawaiians}

The music that plays when Spongebob gets dressed in "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie"

And the music that plays when Spongebob walks home while being followed by the Jellyfish in "Jellyfish Jam".

I think they're composed by The Blue Hawaiians, does anyone know what those music themes are?

Ok, it seems that some people are still reading this, so I'll give it a shot (;D)

I think I got all the production music used in SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, but what's really still missing is the music that "The Blue Hawaiians" exclusively recorded for the series (mostly steel guitar music, of course) and which is very memorable since it has been used from the start in many episodes over and over.

There's especially one song that i tried to get which plays in Season 2 - "Gary takes a bath" during the sequence where Spongebob tries to lure Gary into the bathtub by playing leapfrog.

Can anyone help me with that? :)

I'm also trying to find music from The Blue Hawaiians.

Like maybe the one music piece in these episodes:

Jellyfish Jam - ? (jellyfish follows SpongeBob)
The Chaperone - ? ("A limo!")
Opposite Day - ? (Patrick at the door)
Musclebob Buffpants - ? (SpongeBob flexing/Sandy at the Door)

I found the sources here: SpongeBob SquarePants Music Identification (http://spongebobmusic.blogspot.com/)

That's just it. Since the band recorded the music exclusively for the series, the only one who now has some clean versions of them are the creators of the series itself and the band. :/

The only other alternative would be some over-the-top audio editing software, a lot of time and skills to "extract" the songs from the episodes.

Hello,
I saw this thread and was wondering if anybody knew what track this was, or had any ideas.

I am not sure if I should do this, but, there is a user on Youtube that has the music from many Spongebob video games (among others) up for download. The link here goes to Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, but the link to the rest of the rips are on the user's profile page, still accessible from the video.

I've been trying to search around for the movie's score, and I've had absolutely no luck on finding it, so will someone be willing to re-upload that?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Whoops, my error. I've apparently been oblivious to see to not request for re-uploads unless the poster is willing to. Sorry.
