I've been having some fun watching the speculation about this (http://goatpen.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ff&action=display&thread=192&page=1) at another board I visit-- http://www.square-enix.co.jp/0807/

Anyone have any guesses as to what this is? All we is that it will end in around 14 and 1/2 hours. Here's a page offering up some ideas-- http://kotaku.com/5327024/hidden-square-enix-countdown-clock-art

Personally, I have no idea what this is about, though I sure am curious to find out!

It's already been confirmed as Lord of Vermillion 2. Or whatever that game's called. There was much speculation about it being a FF game (because they see monsters and I guess a character or two from the series). But these Vermillion games use many of the creatures of the FF series.

Do you have a link that I can share with the people on that other board that confirms that?

They should have made it a countdown to a press release that Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix would be released here in the States.

Lousy Square Enix...

Yeah, as much as I love a lot of Square Enix's stuff, I will never forgive them for this "Final Mix" crap that doesn't get released to the U.S.

Oh, don't get me started on the Final Mixes...

And here's the link Agent: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/101/1010875p1.html

Of course, since we don't really have card RPGs or arcades in North America, the chances of playing this ourselves are slim.
Well, we used to have arcades in North America, though you don't really see them anymore. I think they may still be in a few places, though...

It is kinda funny how arcades have virtually vanished. The only places I see arcades now are in those family fun places with go-karts and putt-putt golf. We used to have them here in the malls, but they went poof.

I only have Casinos like Circus Circus for arcades... :\
New York New York I think has some, and Gameworks I have not been there in ages.

I know at a local casino, they built an arcade for the kids who's parents want to gamble. And at a local mall, there's a small area with a few arcade games (only DDR Extreme and Initial D: Arcade Stage 3 come to mind). And in the same mall, there's actually a Tilt arcade. They mostly have the older arcade games but some new ones. But no Initial D :(. They used to have Wangan Midnight, but the owner said someone bought the cabinet for $2500USD. I was pissed lol

We have a place where I live in Dayton, Ohio called "Arcade Square," but they just call it that. Really it's an abandoned building downtown that they've been trying to revive for years, but nothing much has really come of it. Apparently now somebody has finally bought it and they're supposedly getting something going with it, but who knows what will happen.

There's a mall that was pretty lively about a decade ago really close to my house. It's practically like a ghost town now. There used to be a movie theater, but that's been gone. The only reason I liked going to that mall (not in the best of neighborhoods) was because there was this big food court. And underneath it (and beyond), there was this HUGE arcade. It had probably more than 100 cabinets PLUS a few mini-golf courses. But the arcade's been shut down. It sucks there aren't hardly any arcades anymore :(.

GameWorks is a company with arcades across the nation, just very few and far between now. There used to be one just 10 minutes from me, but it closed in March, which sucked because it had Maximum Tune, and now that machine's just dissapeared!
I still fully support my local arcades by going as frequently as I can, and thankfully one is in a very popular mall so it's doing just fine.

Well, in LA with so many universities around there are quite a few spots with decent arcades. I still haven't been to one in years... Been meaning to though to see if anyone received the Silent Hill light-gun game yet. Not holding out hope though.

Also, I'd like to Romance that SaGa :naughty:
