Foe: status = Bravery
Foe: character status = Bravery

Up at the top of the screen when you are selecting Gambits, there's an explanation of what each gambit actually does.

I believe...

Foe: status = Bravery means... to target a foe if it is afflicted with Bravery status.

Foe: character status = Bravery... to target a foe if your own character is afflicted with Bravery status.

I believe...
