Is this real and from the actual session materials? Does it have never-before-released music like the actual opening titles from the movie or is it just a fan made thing? A rapidshare mirror would be very appreciated if it is indeed a real expanded score. Thanks in advance!

This is clearly a fake. The extra music is pulled from "Planet of the Apes". Pathetic.

these are great planet of the apes or not.

Not to sound greedy but does anyone know where to find the "arnold" sound cue I believe it was called.

Nevertheless, now matter how much expanded music there would be in a real one.

Like 95% of the soundtrack sucks.

The only good themes are only Opening and The Harvester.

Goodness sake! Could you come up with a better score? the only low point IMO is the lack of the Terminator theme.

TBH actually yes.

I had some imagination of what it would sound like before I even heard the soundtrack or movie.

And I had way better terminator music than this.

You absolutely CANNOT make music for something if you've never read the story for it. Film composers require a spotting session for the film. I liked most of the score, but then again I like most orchestral pieces anyway. All right, it doesn't sound like a Terminator score. But then again, this is a new type of film, so older stuff won't do for it. I admit there could have been more uses of the Terminator theme (like in the Salvation video game which used it quite frequently) but as a score goes, it's not bad IMO. Does it sound like a Terminator score? No. But that is to be expected. If you're honest, T3 did not sound like a Terminator score. But if that is your basis for this whole argument, that it does not sound like a Terminator score, then I'm afraid I can run rings around that argument all night.

Simple as, this score signifies what the film does - a step into a different kind of Terminator film.

True but still it doesnt not sound like a masterpiece...
Like you dont reaslly remember it...

I wondered about the lack of a Terminator Theme. And I came to this conclusion - maybe Elfman DID make a Terminator theme, but it got cut down? It might explain the butchering of the "du-du-dun-du-dun" in the film (the same piece plays three times in the film - Opening Titles (pitched up),T-800 and Finale)

As for the score, it's heavily butchered in the film. I put that down to McG.
