I just encoded my own version; and for the future if and when one of our links dies, and someone is searching their little hearts out for this, I will include my humble offering as well.

LOL - I'm not sure what to say... Just been watching the movie and can already tell the score is something I want to own. Too bad there are such limited pressings of some of these albums.

Would you also happen to have the rejected Elmer Bernstein score? I'm just learning about it. Just fascinating that so much work is often discarded for one reason or another. Delerue's rejected score for SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES has one of my all-time favorite cues.

I do have the rejected score as well to Natty Gann.. it's part of a box set of rejected Elmer Bernstein scores from 2008 released by Varese Sarabande.

Varese Sarabande is not allowed on this forum but I will see what I can do.

It looks like an interesting package - just out of my budget. Listened to a cue he wrote for NATTY GANN on YouTube - very good, but I understand why the change was made.

Gangs Of New York however, is an outstanding score and according to the liner notes Mr. Bernstein was upset that his score was not used for this movie, especially given the history he and Mr. Scorsese had had .

The Journey Of Natty Gann is a nice score it works well within the film, even Bernstein's rejected score is worth listening to.

Hello sir. Could you send me the link to this score. Very keen on Bernstein. Listening to the Buccaneer this morning. Thank you.

---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:17 PM ----------

Why was the music of a man of the calibre of Bernstein rejected? I know its happened to so many of them over the years.
