Recently, i found out a Chinese poem on Internet. I am quite interested in Chinese poem. Unfortunately, i don't understand it this time. Can you explain it. Here it is.
「君不見黃河之水天上來,奔流到海不復回。
君不見高堂明鏡悲白髮,朝如青絲暮成雪。」
Thanks a lot.

I would like to help, but I don't understand Chinese. So I Babel Fish translated it and got:

"Mr. does not see water of space the Yellow River, flows rapidly to the sea not letter in reply. Mr. does not see the parents bright mirror sad white hair, faces like the black hair evening to become the snow."

...which makes only a smidgeon of better sense than the original Chinese to me.

I get a vague image of a man near a mystical river that shows virtue and wisdom based on one's past, but this man is unable to gain such knowledge of it, and is at risk because of it. Meanwhile the knowledge is carried away to the ocean, becoming less and less available to him as he waits.

But that could all be complete bullshit. Anyway, hope it helps XD

Finally, i decipher more about the poem.
I think it may be..
"You don't see the heavenly water running down the Yellow River, it never returned. You don't see the mirror is upset by the white hair, dawn is green(weird? or blue or black) and evening as snow."

It is quite different with nowadays Chinese.

The "mirror upset by the white hair" may be referring to representation and age. Representation as in the reflection of the waters or a look to oneself. Or maybe how community sees us as individuals(too Greek however and my money is most certainly not there). The "white hair" almost obviously refers to age (but maybe it is or was customary in certain parts of China to dye their hair and with what meaning?) but it may as well refer to mortality. Maybe the passage of time in relation to the passage of waters of the yellow river? But the melancholy from he first sentence seems to refer more to how we perceive ourselves through time. Last paragraph, however, still makes less sense than flying disco monkeys.
