PS Store, for one.
Torrents, for two.
eBay, for three.

Don't do number 3, man.

If you have a PSP or PS3 you can download it from the PlayStation store for $10.

When I wanted it for PC (because I lost one of the discs on my original edition PC copy), I bought from eBay. There's a version on there that was only sold in stores in foreign markets, but I have it and the content of the discs themselves is actually exactly the same as the English version. And even though it shows Japanese pictures on the box, the game itself is in English. About the only difference I could find is that the manual is now included on a disc, whereas in the original PC version it was a printed booklet.

That wouldn't be the so-called 'FFVII Ultima Edition' by any chance Agent? If so, then I'm afraid it's an illegal bootleg. There's tons of them going around for sale on eBay sadly.

From what I know, there was two official original editions of FFVII PC produced by Edios (one featuring an unusual triangle/pyramid shaped box which is now extremely rare and highly sort-after), as well as a later 'budget' re-release published by EA with a smaller box (they also re-released FFVIII PC as well). If your copy of FFVII is anything else, then it's likely to be a pirated copy.

It's not the Ultima. I'm pretty sure it's the second one you described, the budget rerelease published by EA with a smaller box. It says EA Classics on the box. If you want, I can post a scan of the back of the box.

Like I said, I also have the original edition and still have the unusual triangle/pyramid shaped box it came in.

Classifieds such as Craig's List or online marketplaces, such as eBay or Half.

Got mine on eBay for $26, which was an awesome deal, considering all the others were going for $45 or more.

Not everyone has a credit card and a PSP or PS3 though. And for the record, I found a mint Platinum edition (Europe's version of the US Greatest Hits' version) of the PSX version of FFVII for $10 Australian a couple of years ago at a local pawnbroker. Still consider that an absolute steal. ;)

My advice, don't do ebay, bootlegs are everywhere.
