I really recommend you guys this album. The Ys series has some very beautiful compositions and amazing instrumentation. This is a collection of some of the most epic tracks from various Ys albums that I have listened to. The music is a mix of orchestra (mostly violins), powerful but very emotional electric guitar work, and sometimes quality synth. I hope you music lovers enjoy this.

It’s a selection of cues which are generally used for a big battle versus a gigantic, mighty, ferocious foe, usually a Boss or the Last Boss. All cues come from anime scores. Needless to say this pack is loaded with epic, grandiose and powerful cues. The intensity of some of them is just amazing!

No, I am planning on everything, from video games, to anime, movies, and even original albums of orchestral nature (as you can see on the albums). Whatever that is epic. :D

Hey, thanks for the downloads, I'm downloading the 3rd one currently, and I'd like to ask if you could use a different file site instead of deposit. Mediafire would be better, because while I was downloading there was this annoying thing on my computer and I don't wanna go through telling about it. Anyways, now deposit says I have to wait 40 minutes even though I didn't get to download anything yet. If you can, please re-upload on another site.

EPIC MUSIC COLLECTION 1 has some good highlights. I enjoyed a lot "Pompeii (Unearthed)" (good gothic stuff), "Tikal (Unearthed)" (interesting oriental sound), and The Extermination (epic + dramatic = very nice).

It's very inspiring for me.
I really appreciate the fact that you noticed how I put the music.
When I make the selection, I try to organize them in a specific way around a specific theme.
I don't know if anyone has noticed it, but I'm actually trying to tell a story, but a story that I let other people imagine.
I thought that it would be a cool idea, so I tryed it :D

I noticed the story line. It fits well with a theme of war. The beginning when evil begins to stir which crescendos (did I spell that right?) into the battles of epic proportion and desperation and then to the end when there's nothing left but death and destruction. At least, that's what I got out of it. I've got a ton of music on my computer so I'll go through it and see if there's anything that I might be able to suggest for a future album.

How about Bug Tunnel/Death Trap from Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom?
Maybe a bit comical perhaps, but it was the first track that came to my mind, of "things always have to become worse after getting better", type of music.

"The Opened Way" from Shadow of the Colossus is easily the best epic music piece from a video game EVER, you should think about including it in an upcoming album.

"The Forest of Jigramunt" and "Mortvia Aqueduct" from Castlevania Curse of Darkness are also very cool, although I'm not 100% certain they can be considered "epic", I do consider them so.

BTW, when will you provide a link for the last album on the list, the Epic Final Battles one, I can't wait to listen to it.

Oh my God, I totally missed The Open Way, (probably since I haven't downloaded the third album), lol, then I guess I owe you an apology for thinking "HOW IN HELL CAN THE OPEN WAY NOT BE IN AN EPIC MUSIC COLLECTION!!!".

Another Shadow of the Colossus masterpiece is "Revived Power", there's just something very "uplifting" about it, and coincidentally it was always used in the game when you climbed on top of some of the most majestic Colossi. I don't know how to describe it, it just makes me feel happy and inspired.

"Sigma Final" from Megaman X7 is truly amazing, and I totally was not expecting a song like that in a Megaman X game.

"Ending Theme" from Final Fantasy 8 (I would omit the "Eyes on Me" part though) is INCREDIBLE, the rendition of the Final Fantasy Theme contained in it makes John Williams look like a useless hack.

You might want to look for a remix by SSH called "Travel Demon", it's the ultimate Castlevania rock megamix, if a Castlevania fan doesn't cream over it then he's not a Castlevania fan.

Anyway, Sigma Final is from Mega Man X5, and Mega Man games have some incredible music, and some might even be considered epic (very few)
I was also thinking in making a collection of epic ending themes later, and FF8 ending theme is one of the best examples for that :D
It's the best rendition of the classic theme in my opinion.
As for Travel Demon...drools...still drools...
But I can hear in the beggining Ky's theme "Holy Orders" from Guilty Gear.

It's strange, I don't have problems playing it.
I don't know why it doesn't play in the ipod though.
You know what guys, try removing all the tags from the mp3 files.
Maybe there might be some metadata that can't be read.

It was an amazing game, and since we are on the topic, it used to have very good compositions that suffered from the bad GBA synth.

Mmm, ever hear of a song called Pupil of Frenzy by dBu?

Anyways, the song is in the folder along with some others that I got from a recent torrent. The songs from the torrent have a kind of sad feeling to them while Pupil of Frenzy starts out slow then begins to pick up around 1 minute: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KMEP0HVS.

Anyway, Sigma Final is from Mega Man X5, and Mega Man games have some incredible music, and some might even be considered epic (very few)
I was also thinking in making a collection of epic ending themes later, and FF8 ending theme is one of the best examples for that :D
It's the best rendition of the classic theme in my opinion.
As for Travel Demon...drools...still drools...
But I can hear in the beggining Ky's theme "Holy Orders" from Guilty Gear.

Thanks for the uploads! BTW, there is basically a "Sigma Final" theme in every Megaman X game, I'm specifically speaking of the one in X7. Since I wasn't sure you'd consider Megaman X music in general epic then I definitely have some from that series you could totally use:

- Spark Mandrill's Stage (Megaman X1 - I'd look for a remix there are PLENTY of this particular track)

I can't find "Line of Battle" which is my favorite song of the OST (might have to make a Youtube account). I just love this song because I think it's the 2nd to last stage. You're running up this mountain (spiral path around the mountain) trying to stop the end the world and you're hurrying up to get to the summit to prevent this from happening while you're fighting monsters and knocking them off the edge.

I was conected on the internet and the lighting caused high voltage that burned the modem and that effected also the network card in the motherboard causing it to not turn on enymore. That sucked really bad.
What "died" was the motherboard and the modem. Everything else was fine.

No way same thing happened to me only it blew them out on my mac pro i had to replace the whole logic board on mine even though it was just the ports.

The only album I threw away was the second I think, I dunno why, maybe its cuz I never played the games they were featured in but I just didn't like those tracks. The rest are epic!!
