...Would anyone playing FF9 on an emulator be able to help me out?

I was playing on an emulator when my Hard Drive died, completely. Unrecoverable.
I was at the point before you go to Ipsen Castle. I had a Gold Chocobo, and was around level 60-65 with all characters. Learned most abilities that I could have. I invested a lot of time into that game, only for it to be gone forever.

I am wondering if anyone else who has played on an emulator has a save near this area that I could use. I'm not too bothered about the chocobos or the abilities or the level, because I can do all that again, I just don't want to have to start from the beginning again.

It's a long shot, but...

Everything was fine for me up until the Desert Fortress, where it hung when I entered one of the rooms.

NoSkill, thanks for your input. Real helpful.

Shadow, that would be great. I was using pSX, but there are programs that can convert the save files, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you send me that save I would be forever grateful.

Okay You will need:
-MemcardRex(0.7 or above) just google he name and u can easily download it
-A empty slot on ur memory card(duh)

1. Open MemcardRex and go File->Open and select thye memcard file u want eg. epsxe000.mcr
2. Once opened u shuld see all ur saves on the memcard file. So Highlight the 'free slot' and then click import.
3. Open my save file(wherever u saved it)
4.The saved game shuld be seen in place of that 'free slot'. So now just go File->Save and ur good.
5. All u need to do now run the game and u shuld find the saved game in which ever memcard slot(1or2)u saved it under

If u have any querries plz ask.

Well, I won't be able to tell you for a few weeks. I'll need to get my laptop up and running again and then download FF9 again, but I'll reply to this thread or send you a message or something when I get a chance to use it.

ShadowMage, it works great. Thankyou again.
Now I just need to get accustomed to the status, and I'll be on my way again.
