Yeah no doubt about that, I'd want to see how it all happened so it would be a good reason to make another Metal Gear Solid.

To be honest, the story is still left unfinished, though the machines are dead, they can so easily be taken control of, i mean, not EVERY gekko was at shadow moses surely, and the metal gear designs are still out their.
I wouldnt mind playing as raiden for a change even if hes a gray fox rip off, itd still be cool, like if konami made that game of vampires in big bosses dream in MGS3:SE.

MGO isn't even that good. Hardly anyone plays it(from what I saw anyway. the games I got into had 3 maybe 4 players on each team at best) and there is too much fucking around. I spent ages downloading it after I watched a review because it looked great. But after setting up a "Konami Id" and "Game Id" (what the fuck is all that about?!) and getting into the game, I was bitterly disappointed.

Kojima should definitely not put any time into expanding it.

The only thing that throws the idea off about this taking place after Portable ops but before Metal Gear is that Image of Raiden. I know for certain that's not Jeager because he never lost an eye until possibly after Metal Gear 2. It's possible that the image of Big Boss/Snake could be just a A.I. program similar to what Raiden experienced during MGS2 with GW appearing to him as Colonel Campbell. I don't know. Maybe it's the Metal Gear remake that a lot of fans wanted to see to help blend the first two games better with the MGS series.

It doesn't really pay to be exclusive anymore. The folks at Square Enix did the same thing when they brought the Final Fantasy franchise over to the 360. It wasn't something they did to snub the fans. It was a company-wide decision to reach a broader audience.

I worry about MGS Rising. It being multi-platform many things will have to be compressed, like sound and visuals. So the Rising won't take full advantage of the PS3s power, for example. But I guess we will see what happends.

I used to use this funny glitch where you keep rising after turning into wolf during a jump to snag those items that were frustratingly just out of reach. So it turned out, strangely, there's a corner of the map in the reverse caverns I could never seem to get unless I performed said trick while barking in mid-air. Oh the memories...

Yeah, those corners get left unexplored these days. I got like 197.7% this last time because while I got all the blue, some of the white borders were being bitches.

The only negative things I can think to say about the game are the aforementioned map completion shenanigans and the voice acting.

Yeah, life is too short for grinding. Pokemon is different, I guess, since there isn't a story. I want to be able to play through the trilogy quickly, gaze in wonder at the plot holes, etc.~

I'll agree though... leveling up in Xenosaga is a bitch for all three games... especially III. I wanted to unlock all abilities, but I simply did not want to obtain enough points to do so, so I was like "Screw it" and stopped around level 69 or so...

Heck, I never even defeated the huge robot in III, and never completed the Evil Professor side mission in II (it was obscenely difficult to defeat the monsters at the final area that had the Gnosis resembling the ones from the first game; they were insanely strong no matter how leveled up my guys were). :(

Strangely enough, as I've gotten older as a gamer, I feel less and less the need to max out everything in a game (especially RPGs like Xenosaga). I've been having a stint with this on RE5 recently maxing out ammo, but I don't have the desire to want to max out the Green Herb, Red + Green Herb, and Green + Green Herb, as well as all grenade types, Treasures, First Aid sprays, and money. That'll just take *too* long and I'll probably end up hating the game after playing it so much.

99 definitely should have been the limit on most things... not 999.

i havent met someone who is hasnt done it in any other way.

Clearly you mean in terms of sidequests. The main quest is piss easy. Agent and Zak got Order of Ambrosia w/o hacks. I think they're slightly crazy to have done it, but to each their own.

I have in the realm of 450 First Aid Sprays. I don't have anything else to spend money on.
