So I made a quick remix of both What I've Done and New Divide by Linkin Park. Um, it's only my second remix overall, so it's not very good. Some edits are a bit rough, and you can tell that What I've Done is encoded at a lower bit rate than New Divide, but whatever. Here's the link, and I'd love to hear what you guys think. I know it's not the greatest, but I'm fairly proud of it overall. If any of you want some cool trivia about its creation, I can also give you some of that lol.

I have a listen. It sounds ok. Tbh, I didn't know it was two songs at first. They are very similar songs.

What did you use to do it?

I just used Audacity, an easy-to-find free program that lets you edit music. I first had to extract the vocals, which took nearly forever (after I finished the mix, I learned that iTunes was selling both the acapella and instrumental version. D'oh!). Then I changed the pitch and tempo of the two songs so they'd match, then basically overlayed the necessary vocals after finalizing the instrumental part.

Yes, both songs are very similar. They use the same chord progression, for the most part (albeit in different key signatures), and even the melodies are close enough to not sound too dissonant.
